What's new

Turkish TAI TF-X in line with what PAF wants: PAC Kamra Chairman Air Marshal

Ok but not critical tech like software/radar/ sensors source code etc etc @MMM-E

no problem , Turkey doesnt need any one for those technologies

Turkey has its own companies such as Aselsan , Havelsan , Ayesas , MILSOFT , Meteksan to develop GaN based AESA Radar , IFF System , software , sensors , source code , national data link , electronic warfare suite , network centric warfare , etc etc for the TFX Fighter Jet project

Hi,

It really baffles my mind as to what the Paf heirarchy's thinking is---.

Turkey is under fear of sanctions---it already has some sanctions.

The helicopter deal is is dis-array---.

How can Paf bet on an aircraft that is just on the paper---rather than one that is flying---.

If Paf really wants a single engine aircraft---it's JV with the chinese should be the first priority---.

I believe that the Paf is back to its age old game of deceiving pakistan---.

On the engine issue---pakistan has been hit real hard regarding the JF17---. The Turkish experiment would be a similar mistake but with serious repercussions---.

Because Turkey is getting tech from Russia too, RD-93 is now used in Turkish bird and JV in Su-57 is on offer so they can get things from Russia which west may not allow them.

Which bird?

F-35 is multi national project and the eight Turkish companies supported the development or production of F-35 / F135 Engine

Alp Aviation has been supporting the program since 2004 and currently manufactures F-35 production airframe structure and assemblies, production landing gear components and over 100 F135 production engine parts to include titanium integrated blade rotors

Ayesas currently is the sole source supplier for two major F-35 components – missile remote interface unit and the panoramic cockpit display

Fokker Elmo manufactures 40% of the F-35 Electrical Wiring & Interconnection System (EWIS) and will also deliver and support TAI with all center section wiring systems. Fokker Elmo is also developing the EWIS for the F135 engine

Kale Aerospace has been supporting the F-35 since 2005. In conjunction with Turkish Aerospace Industries, they manufacture and produce F-35 airframe structures and assemblies. Kale Aero also supports Heroux Devtek as the sole source supplier for all three variants landing gear up lock assemblies.
Additionally, Kale Aerospace has also established a joint venture in Izmir with Pratt & Whitney and is manufacturing production hardware for the F135 engine

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has been strategically supporting the F-35 Program since 2008. The company currently supplies production hardware that goes into every F-35 production aircraft
TAI manufactures the center fuselages, produces composite skins and weapon bay doors, and manufactures fiber placement composite air inlet ducts.
Additionally, TAI is strategically manufacturing 45% of the F-35’s including Air-to-Ground Pylons and adapters which is Alternate Mission Equipment (AME)

also Turkey was selected to have the first European Regional F135 Engine depot overhaul capability

what can Pakistan or other muslim countries do for TFX development or production ? they can not develop even GaN based AESA Radar or electronic systems for the TFX ?

İf Turkey allow muslim countries to join the TFX project then they should be happy that a muslim country offers high tech project which is only a few in the world

everything but needs 10-12 years
Oh...Pakistan can do nothing....sounds very negative and very Indian.

Long way to go to /research and develop reliable sensors for TFX, and major hurdle for TFX is engine @MMM-E ;):enjoy:

TFX will make its maiden flight in 2026 so Aselsan to develop sensors for TFX until 2026

do you know what about Turkish giant defense company ASELSAN ? BAE SYSTEMS , ASELSAN and THALES are top companies in Europe for electronics , avionics , electronic warfare systems , Radars , E/O Systems ,etc

btw Aselsan Gan based AESA Radar for F-16s will be in service until 2024

and 450 km Aselsan CAFRAD Naval AESA Radar for TF-2000 class AAW Destroyer
and 600 km Aselsan EIRIS AESA Radar for SIPER long range Air Defense System

7 TFX Prototypes will use GE F-110 Engine and in 2018 TRMOTOR has started developing national turbofan engine

The progress in the Turkish defense industry is unrivalled. No other industry in Turkey has done so much in so little time. In the last decade, Turkish businesses and state-owned R&D centers have put amazing effort into their work and received amazing outcomes and 4 Turkish defense companies entered top 100 in the world ( Turkey is only muslim country in the list )

Its only beginning , as of 2019 Turkey develops over 690 military project for $75 billion
in the next 10-15 years everybody will see global defense industry Turkey as like France

MashaAllah Turk brothers have made tremendous achievements in defense sectors and they are indeed at top among Muslim world when it comes to military technology thanks to decades of political backing, commitment and stability. If some forces have some nefarious designs against Turkey, there must be no wonder! Countries like Israel, US and even UK feel threatened by such military tech progress made by Turkey. It is not only giving more political sovereignty to Turks but also challenging the West financially as Turkey is all set to become a top military hardware exporter to the world during and after next decade.

Strategic Turbine Blades of Turkish gas turbine engines which is manufactured with single crystal technology is being tested on a prototype core engine. Characteristics of those blades in very hot turbine environment are inspected in various RPM figures. At present, Turkish manufactured Turbine blades introducing high resistance to a temperature around 800-900 Celcius. If you want to develop a powerful turbofan engine which will have a thrust around 30000lbf, You have to develop blades that has a resistance around 1800-1900 Celcius turbine temperature. Atom and Dinç program aiming to develop and produce Nickel powder and Nickel alloy processing technologies will help our engineers to produce Nickel based single crystal blades which has a temp-resistance up to 1450 Celcius. Special low conductivity ceramic covering technology applied on those blades along with internal cooling structure will improve the resistance around 1700-1800 Celcius. We are expecting to reach those figures within a few years, since All those sub materials have been succeafully developed by institute/universty collaborations...

PAF deceiving Pakistan?
You’re at it again with your diatribe against PAF. What’s your beef may I ask? Do you have real and genuine issues with PAF or is it a case of early senile dementia? Your unjustified and unwarranted attacks on PAF are nauseating.

You know EU countries not sharing critical tech for TFX and for turbofan good luck to you because it is one of the most complex tech on the planet only few country have this capability to develop Jet engine from scratch, even Chinese struggling with their Jet engine development project, probably your engine program will be delayed on multiple time, i think ( lets hope it will not) @MMM-E
