The framework of the agreement seems to be largely agreed. It is good to see that the friendship between our countries is gaining a strong bond in the context of deterrent security capabilities and high tech. All we know that, each of our countries has very vital and deep problems. But as long as we can stay together, we will have stronger hopes of overcoming them. We will move forward step by step. In the near future, our fully integrated air forces, technically and tactically, will be a sign of next step inshallah.

KAAN project cooperation will have much bigger implications than just being an aviation program. And this cooperation will not be limited only between Pakistan and Turkish states, it will expand even further, just wait and see.

Very true.

In some other thread not so long ago claims were made that Pakistan was already a partner in this project.

Pakistan is of course a country we love, but what will happen if the USA puts an embargo on the f110 engine?

This partnership should have been announced after the domestic engine was guaranteed.

Pakistan's input to the project could be on a conventional industrial basis which would be fine, too. Getting work share, being part of the process and receiving technology, insight and knowhow to be able to contribute is exactly how Türkiye started her long and arduous journey that led to KAAN.

Pakistan needs to change. The last two years showed us that any transformation has to be gradually in order to be accepted by the ruling class. This is sad but it comes with its perks. Let's hope that this project kick-starts a total and fundamental modernisation of the Pakistani defence industry which most definitely will have its spill-over effect within Pakistan.
