First batch of S-400 missile will be delivered in 2018.



Ther will be ToT but not much, the first two systems will be produced in Russia and the last will be in Turkey. You can't expect much from 4 years project. In 2019 they will deliver the first S-400.

That is a politic move from Russians due to the experience in cancelled Chinese deal with high pressure from the ''allies'', the other deal with the ''allies'' based on some co-development for a current system, also the current tech. in Turk army thanks to Nato.

However, I believe there will be no ToT, but a sign that the government is using two deals at the same time to get the best takes places right now ,and which is promising.

If we could get first S-400 system in 2018, that is just perfect, and it also means it won't be dumbed export version since they cannot develop, test/deploy dumbed version in 1 year.

Probably same applies to systems from west, its just a stop gap solution till own system is finished anyways.

Why Turkey wants to have a ‘anti-ballistic missile defense system’ - also with exo-atmospheric capability - in the Middle East ? To protect only against mosquitoes ?

Why Turkiye buy from Russia C-300? If Turkiye have system Hisar?

Turkiye buys S400 because of the urgent needs for long range air defense system. Hisar A which is short range will be operational in like 2020 and the medium range Hisar O like 2021. Hisar U long range air defense project is still under development and it will take time for it to become operational. As we know one of the biggest gaps in TSK is the air defense capabilities and especially the long range air defense and anti ballistic missile capabilities. With the tension that is around Turkey that capability is game changer and Turkey cant wait more in order to fill the gap so Turkey selected that deal that will most likely come with technological transfer if we are looking at the speeches of the turkish officials that commented on the matter.

If Turkiye have system Hisar?

We do not have any system called "Hisar" as of yet, and we won't have any national made high altitute sam system in next 10+ years.
