I think upgrading contains solving engines' problems which I doubt Turkey can independently do . We had such problem in Tomcats' TF30 engines which hasn't been solved completely after 4 decades .

Reverse engineering is not copy pasting man .

If you want to reverse engineer anything you'll have to have prior knowledge of that otherwise you'll fail . Just look at Turkey , You've been producing F-16 in your soil for years but still can't produce or upgrade 1 of them independently with out the main designer's ( US ) assist .

Don't forget that reverse engineering is a way many countries use before designing their own products .

For God sake , Did I write anything wrong except writing the meaning of reverse engineering and it's difference with copy pasting ?

I just brought him an example to tell him even a country like Turkey that has produced Falcons in it's soil can't produce or upgrade them independently .

Truth in that, Engines for Jets are the most difficult to develop and will take decades of R&D and Local contribution to foreign engines. Currently the best Turkey has is localy license F110-100/129/129B with 67% Local contribution, But lets hope Turkey can built one in the near future.

And I did correct you, Turkey did MLU upgrade of PAF F-16s, planning to upgrade its Block-30s with home-made missiles and mission computers. Nothing is wrong with that.
