The Great Asian Showdown: India’s Kolkata Class v/s China’s Type-52D Destroyer

The quality of your posts are enough to prove how much your brain is developed. The chinese airforce can easily reach the indian ocean .They have long range fighter jets and bombers. You are assuming everything from the indian side like their air force will attack but the chinese air force will just sit and watch. It,s like thinking one way but not the other .And by the way a internet troll can easily fake it,s flags that,s not a big deal.

They only have one plane that can reach the Indian Ocean, the H-6 and they only have a few of those, anything else requires extensive refueling and they are not doing very well in that area, its no contest if it comes down to air superiority in the Indian ocean, India has it, same way as the chinese will have air superiority in the south china sea.

The same goes for the navies, Indian navy is superior in the Indian ocean and benefits from being close to their shores, same for the chinese in the south china sea.

You think like typical narrow minded, india hater pakistani, what else can be expected, failed state, failed brains.

China would be quite difficult to enter IOR in time of war, no point talking about peacetime cuz everyone is happy.

To enter IOR from China, they either have to transit thru Malacca straits which mean going around vietnam, thailand and Philippine s, then have to pass thru a choke point out of indian territories in Andaman.

Another route is keep doing south and round thru indonesia and Western Australia and enter IOR that way, then you wont get choke in andaman but you go a lot further....

The times Chinese Navy wanna goes through Indonesia and Australia by using Sunda Strait in hostile intention, that's the time Indonesia and Australia will stop their mocking and bickering between eachother and will conduct a comprehensive Joint cooperation

Can easily like what? simply PLAAF right now is in struggle to maintain what their called ADIZ in East Chinese Sea and had their hands full with US and Japan, and that's just a one stone throw away from Chinese homeland, let alone going far south to IOR in which had been invested with Indian Air Force for so long in Andaman and Nicobar.

Does Indonesia have any coastal missile batteries?

SIGMA? maybe Bung Tomo class or old Van Speijk class.

Doesn't have, our posturing is more for Fast attack missile and torpedo boats to cope with our geographical situation. If we investing in coastal missile batteries, the mobilization will became a bane and we must considering logistic line too. Japan can afford it because they have a better infrastructure than us.

Israel Concludes Developmental Testing of Barak-8 Missile Defense System

TEL AVIV — Israeli and Indian forces are mere months away from initial deployment of respective sea- and land-based Barak-8 defenses following a successful Monday morning test here capping six years of cooperative development.
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) said the Nov. 10 full system intercept test validated all elements of the locally developed air and missile defense system and transitions the program into operational testing as it ramps up to serial production.

“The system is now operational,” said Boaz Levy, executive vice president and general manager of IAI’s Systems, Missiles and Space Group.

“All components of sea- and land-based systems were validated under realistic threat conditions,” Levy said of the vertically launched intercepting system designed for persistent defense against saturation attacks by long-range missiles and a spectrum of air-breathing threats.

Briefing reporters Nov. 10, Levy said he expected Barak-8 partners in Israel and India to declare initial operational capability (IOC) in “a number of months.”

At the same time, he said IAI and its team of subcontractors are already supplying the system to “a number of customers” whom he declined to identify beyond flagship users here and in New Delhi.

A delegation of Indian scientists and military officers joined Israeli counterparts participating in the milestone test against an air-breathing target mimicking advanced maneuvering capabilities of fighter bombers.

IAI President Joseph Weiss said the test marked wholesale validation of Barak-8 system elements, from the phased-array digital radar that detected and continuously tracked the target to the weapon-control system that calculated the optimal point for launching the intercepting missile that ultimately destroyed the targeted threat.

Conducted under “complex” conditions, Weiss said the test proved “impressive advanced capabilities” of Barak-8, the air and missile defense system flagged as “a major growth engine” for IAI.

Avinash Chander, head of the Indian Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and scientific adviser to India’s defense minister, characterized the Nov. 10 test as “an important milestone” in bilateral cooperation between India and Israel.

Ophir Shoham, a rear admiral in the Israel Navy reserves who heads the Israeli Defense Ministry’s research and development directorate (DDR&D), cited close bilateral ties forged from protracted cooperation in the face of technological challenges.

“The Barak-8 project expresses a constructive cooperation between the Indian DRDO and the Israeli DDR&D and the armed forces of both nations,” Shoham said. “Together, they have pushed forward this important program, overcoming technological challenges and earning achievements along the way.”

Right, makes sense, too many islands and long coastline.

Dude. The system is completed in Israel but not onboard Kolkata class. If you disagree, show me a photo of Kolkata class firing barak8. It will take sometime for it to be operational and hold your breadth. It maybe years.
