The China Navy Third Fleet Carrier Battle Group Named PLANS FUJIAN 福建舰 (CVBG-18) Officially Launched !

knowing your history in the forum, its pointless in having a discussion with you.
 a TROLL avoid taking my challenge becos he knows he is on the losing side. Avoid talking about inferior US electric catapult on USN Gerald Ford aircraft carrier. China technology overtake US must have upset u a lot. Go cry harder, girl! :enjoy:

When we say our technology overtakes US, we dont do empty talk like US or India do. We do it with real concrete facts!

I thought you guys didn't need an electric catapult
Who say that? Loser like you? :enjoy:

Chinese military forums are all talking about the imminent construction of aircraft carrier 004 in Dalian Shipyard.
Weibo is also talking about 004. Haha, 003 was forgotten by Chinese netizens just after it was launched.

Both DC and AC would have been ground tested for nearly 10 years guys. There are satellite photos showing it.

They have been flying EMALs based on ground for so long the application was changed from steam catapult to Electromagnetic half way through 003 project according to PLAN affiliated persons.

At first it was unclear to go with proven type which would be the steam catapult used successfully by US for decades or go with unknown but many years of running it non-stop changed PLAN's conservative attitudes in decision making. You can't switch EMAL to steam or steam to EMAL on a whim so they wanted it proven beyond any doubt before deciding to go with EMAL. This was done when Liaoning training carrier operations were being developed when PLAN first started operating carrier during learning phase.

A lot of ignorant fools like @TsAr think China never even tested the EMAL before installed onboard. They think we are doing bragging or empty talks. LOL

These racists only think white can only innovation and do high tech , others races on earth are just sidekick to serve the white master. Their days are number. :enjoy:

Type 004 carrier is nuclear powered with 110 thousands tons displacement, equipped with 4 EMALS.

And is now under construction at Dalian shipyard.

Not much time left for the bully USA.

Don’t render to personal insult in here

What you expect from a small country that their flagship navy (INS hanit) got destroyed by a militia (Hezbollah) using old Chinese subsonic missile (C-802 Missile) :enjoy:

Fujian should be the largest combat ship in history other than the American super aircraft carrier, no matter in the history of Europe and Asia, it has never built a capital ship larger than its tonnage.
Next, we should look forward to the 100,000-ton nuclear-powered aircraft carrier 004 produced in Dalian. I hope it will be called Shanghai.
why not call Taiwan?

why not call Taiwan?
After 003 was named Fujian, it already made TW medias very nervous since Fujian province is just right next to TW.

Now we see 003 is officially launched and we put a lot of expectation to 004. However, according to some "Navy experts", 004 will be the same as 003. We won't see nu-power until 005 & 006 are built. Is this true? Any comment?

For you guys know, Just How Big is This Type 003 Super-Carrier (CVBG-18) PLANS Fujian compared to small carrier vikrant and vikramaditya from supah powah 2012 :D

I think this is the widest aircraft carrier ever build. The deck space looks spacious.

Indeed..

The livestream is still going on, they bought up a few interesting thing:

Two lifts, both on starboard is actually a decision made after a lot of thought. US has an odd obsession with having a lift on port side (they went through a book on USN carrier proposals to demonstrate the point) which PLAN does not share. Although you can park aircraft on this elevator there are lots of work that you can't do on it. Getting rid of it and just keeping two elevators on the starboard results in Fujian. Due to huge size of J-15 flight deck space is in great demand and PLAN probably judge it to be more important than 3rd lift.

This is 100% J-15T according to them. Note the upgraded IRST. There's also something that gives off that it has a strengthen front gear but I didn't understand which part they meant.

The AESA on the 1130 was mentioned. Having an AESA could lead to using it for EW purposes. Also they pointed out that the original 1130 was first seen on Liaoning, and this new upgraded 1130 again makes first appearance on a carrier, so we might see 004 again showing a new CIWS. The first that comes to mind is laser CIWS but Xi points out that a microwave CIWS has been successfully tested and might be more likely.

Before you asking, you need to learn about the difference between MVAC (Alternate Current) vs MVDC (Direct Current) EMALS

If you do not understand, its pointless to answer your stupid question

Not even certain Ford fully functional yet.

Ford having problems after problems with her EMALS
