TF-X Turkish Fighter & Trainer Aircraft Projects

Su-57 is pretty crap. Even Russia won't build it.
They are in production because they have no option but have to continue this worst stealth design jet project because lack of $$$ to built a complete all aspect broadband stealth jet like F-22 is

.
Su-57 is a great fighter. It is much better than the SU-35

. .
I doubt Eurojet will give Turkey their EJ200 engine for TF X, not after the troubles with Greece and Italy and France, and I doubt Turkey can develop a capable fighter jet engine in less than 15 years time from now, it's one of the hardest technologies, the Chinese are having troubles with it, even if Turkey could solve avionics/radar/sensors/airframe problems on their own or by getting some codes from the Japanese Shin Shin or the korean KF-X.
Turkey should buy enough air platforms before a possible embargo.
we need british rolls royce for engine and experience..even it takes 15 years ,it would be great experience cos it is hight teach things which we can use it to developed other things like recently turkish respirator made by aselsan baykar arcelik. as you know, bmw mercedes were used to be plane maker.just look their emblem..

Same can be said of F-35. F-35 is a modified F-16.
from where any clue you have by shape by any means etc etc, really a blind person
here you go from same angles

look the similarities of both jets if not i consider you as a blind
now show me similarities on F-35/ F-16

Su-57 is 5th generation. Su-27 is fourth generation. F-35 is fifth generation. F-16 is fourth generation.

This cant be be change whether its 5th gen or 100 gen its modified stealth version of Su-27 family of jet with minimal stealth feature as compare to other 5th gen designs like J-20/F-22 and Up coming TFX/KFX which designed from scratch unlike Su-57 ( to know what is difference between Su-27/Su-57 plan-form remain same only Su-57 has flatter fuselage and bigger intakes for more powerful engine and rest of Su-57 design (plan-forms) remain same as old Su-27 series of jets)

. . . .
Very minimal. Su-27 and Su-57 are 99.9999% identical. If you don't agree with this then you need glasses.
actually you need a glasses not me. only V tails/bigger intakes/flatter fuselage is the only difference rest of the design remain same (plan-form alignments) now show me similarties between F-35/ F-16 as you claims:p:;):enjoy:

I don't give a damn about these planes. I don't care.

You are bringing J-20 design features to this thread in what context exactly?

All i see from you in this thread is "You can't do that, you can't do this, etc..." Of course i have no problem with criticism, it's not like, i'm saying "Praise my country". However if you are bringing criticism over Turkish Defense Industries , you should at least know the capabilities of it and it's pretty much obvious that you don't have knowledge on that front.

I don't see this attitude as constructive criticism but as blind criticism which is pretty much just a waste of time for everyone.

In context of stealth capabilities. They are the most important feature of 5th gen fighter jet. Mate, if you are interested in constructive exchanges, you'd better pay your attention.

I am still not sure what is you were upset with my comments on the Radar Cross-Section and Chinese J-20 fighter aircraft. I DID NOT say that Turkish Aerospace Industries CANNOT build a 5th gen fighter jet with that comment. However, since you brought up the subject. Let's examine so-called capabilities of Turkey.

1. Turkey doesn't have Aerospace Industry that is comparable with likes of Japan, China and others
2. Turkey has never designed & built a 5th gen fighter jet let alone a 4th gen fighter jet
3. Turkey has not designed & built a single turbofans engine that could power a jet of that class

All facts lead me to DOUBT Turkey's capabilities of developing a 5th gen fighter jet on Reasonable Grounds. Sure, I don't know everything. I am more than happy to be corrected and indeed I've learned from some of you guys. However, some of your replies are speculation and wishiful thinking rather than actual industrial capacities of Turkey to build a 5th gen fighter jet. That's nothing constructive about them. Some guys even have conflicting information on the engine.

For example, about the engine

5 engine is already delivered a couple months ago.

I can't find any information on GE Aviation website of delivering F110 engines to Turkey for TF-X when I could find articles about engines for other projects such as New Gripen and IF-X/KF-X. Could anyone of you cite this is factual that Turkey have already received or at least is approved to receive F110 engine for TF-X? No I am not interested in news from Turkey, but from GE or the US congress which confirms the sales.

This is why I asked - "Does Turkey get an approval from the US congress over the sales of F110?" I mean, without any engine, how could you proceed with the project? This is crazy unless of course you believe somehow Turkey who doesn't have industrial capacities can somehow design & build a powerful indigenous turbofan engine within a very short period of time (which would not be even impossible for GE or RR) before the start of detailed design of TF-X or even production of prototype. How many years left? 3 years? 6 years? You understand that the aircraft needs to go through a series of tests before actual flight tests and that could take years as well, right?

Yes, please educate me how this insane plan is workable. Like I said, I am more than happy to be corrected.

I already mentioned this before, but J-20's canard design is bad for stealth capabilities. It inevitably increases the Radar Cross Section. There is no way around it. KFX Block I is not also a LO (low observable) fighter aircraft as it misses out some stealth features you can find from the 5th gen US jets.

Design-wise, TF-X is more stealthy than other non-US 5th gen fighter jet projects, except Mitsubishi F-3 and few others. However, I wonder why Turkey now claims that TF-X would start as a 4.5(+++)th gen fighter jet. The only logical explaination is that they are not confident to implement all stealth features from their concept arts & promotional images from Block I.
