If there is a TV serial about the failed military coup in Turkey in 2016, it should also be dubbed in five Pakistani languages and shown on all channels

Competition is healthy and we need to watch whats being shown around the world. Shaan needs to stop embarrassing himself. Pagal admi.

Shaan Shahid has been superstar of Punjabi movies second only to Sultan Rahi but those days are long gone, the movie in the above poster is from early 2000s and has nothing to do with 2020. Shaan is still the most talented hero in Pakistan, he looks like a hero unlike the "beta" men shown as "heroes" in the movies made these days in Pakistan.

Just listen this dialogue, only Shaan can deliver dialogues with such intensity and vengeance.

Could have made some interesting dramas about local Pakistani heroes, there's many muslim ones too if you are that way inclined. But as our culture has been successfully suppressed in favour of foreign adaption, we cheer at imaginary victories of foreigners.

  • A Biographical Series on Jinnah and Formation of Pakistan.
Already made and aired on PTV in the year 1997 during the 50 years golden jubilee celebrations of Pakistan's independence.
  • Building the Karakorum Highway.
Also made and aired with a joint production with China in mid or late 80s, I was a child at that time but still remember I watched it, the hero was Behroz Sabzwari and the heroine was a chinese girl.
  • Covert Operations in Bosnia.
Already shown in Alpha Bravo Charlie made and aired by PTV in 1997, it was a superhit drama of PTV at that time.

*Pakistani dude-Oh my gosh this Ertugrul series has taught me a lot of the glorious Turkish Islamic History

*Turkish actor/actresses-Wanna have some Raki dude wears a western style suit, and fellow actresses wears a scandalous evening gown.

*Pakistani-Wot in taranations is this you haram khor, gora wannabe,

Pakee dude leaves but faps to actreses in the series

This is my gripe here those people who complained about the Indian Series and Indian Bollywood,in the 2000s and early 2010s are basically lapping up Turkish soft power like damsels Wow how the tables have turned

No the Shaan dude has a point the Indian industry was bad enough but now you want some gora wannabe Turks peddling their soft power no wonder Pakistanis are confused asf

I mean practically every empire in the Middle Ages be it Islamic or non Islamic had a lot of wrong doings and atrocities no doubt

It's funny we complain so much about how other Muslims have fallen and become more liberal but fail to reliaze that the Turks are practically the most liberal and secular country in the Islamic world

If Pakistanis had any ounce of pride they should stop larping about we wuz Turks we wuz Persians we wuz Arabz and be proud of what we are

Normal country-what how dare you insult and criticize my nation

Pakistanis-How dare you insult Turkey or China they are our brothers and shiettt, you are Indian or Iranian agent

1000x agree

Eheeee

Dude a few months back he was b...tching about how the Turks were westernized gora Raki slugging people and how Ataturk was bad and evil now shrills for their propaganda

Excuses Pakistanis are good at excuses thats it

Yes Turkish shows are much more westernised in detail and have the same love story nonsense yet Pakistanis complain about their own productions

Bro it's just a TV show like Games of Thrones nothing special get some fresh air and weren't you criticizing the Turks a few months ago for having Ataturk as leader and them being liberal.

*complains about the British and Indians for going against Pakistani and Islamic values forgets that Turks are hardcore Kemalists and with more Turkish content the opposite might occur lel

I take it you've never watched any American films? No Chinese movies? No British films?

Why should anyone put up with sub-standard bullshit forms of entertainment just because it's Pakistani?

Did you know that Turkish series Diriliş: Ertuğrul is banned in Egypt, Saudi Arabia & UAE? It is a series that romanticizes & whitewashes the barbaric, criminal Ottoman Empire & reminds modern day Islamists of the good ol' times when they could still rape, pillage & take slaves.

Trying to attach yourself to the history of other people while being completely ignorant about your own is just sad

Honey if you're under the delusion that we think India is our history, you're so wrong. We don't think much of Ashoka and Maurya and all your Bedic hullaballoo.

He is proud of associating himself with Indus civilisation but I bet he doesnt even know the name of language those people spoke back then but we wuz Indus meanwhile he is just a confused cocktail.

Here some guys are sore because of a Turkish drama.. Same guys who would even drink piss of Khameini as holy water. What an irony.

I am also surprised why any "Pakistani" will have any problem with a drama on a medieval Muslim Turkic conqueror. PTV itself has produced many dedicated dramas on the life and achievements of many middle eastern Turkic and Arab conquerors during 80s. Some are even available to watch on the youtube like these ones.

A historical drama produced by PTV in 80s on the struggle of medieval Muslim soldiers to defend against crusaders in medieval times.

Another PTV drama of 80s made on medieval Muslim conqueror of middle east Sultan Noorudin Zangi.

Another PTV drama on the life and achievements of Muslims conquerors of Andulas and Gharnata modern Spain.

And there were many more PTV dramas made in 80s about military struggle of various medieval Muslim soldiers to defend against Mongol invaders.

Exactly! It is natural for Muslims to be proud of those Muslim conquerors where a Kurd was leading an army of Arabs and Turks against Crusaders and a Turk was leading an army of Arabs to fight off Mongols. At that time I am sure Islamic world didnt have such cancerous elements when Muhammad(S.A.W) himself referred to Pre Islamic Arabia as Time of Jahiliyyah.

After the ban in India stopping Indian artistes and technicians from working with their Pakistani counterparts has ended, the Indians and Pakistanis should collaborate in making a serial on the greatest ruler of the subcontinent - Tipu Sultan.

Much better than this irritating Dirilis whatever.
in which bhartis will show how tipu sultan was forced converted to islam... or make up a story for their fake history glory lol

EXl-HbvXsAAggsh
also they should make movie on Babar and Ghauri... will be treat to watch

It's not an excuse. It's a fact, but a fact I think that is fixable. Pakistan doesn't have experience in this kind of production, that can be fixed if Government just invests. I blame the Government.
Lol dude there is no socialism in pakistan. Government cannot invest and own every business. Turkey drama industry stood on its own. Government help make policies but not fund it. That's how every successful medi industry does. This is not matter of particular historical dramas. There are others modern dramas too. Their industry produce every type for every person.

Lol my reply triggered Pakistanis in my Mentions today. Why? Because I made a remark on the barbaric history of - not Pakistan - but Ottomans. I've never seen such a confused nation

1. You missed the point entirely. PTV is free to buy foreign content, especially successful content. State owned stations around the world Buy content, they're not operating exclusively on content they commission.

Shaan spent his career starring in shit films, now he wants the state to spend its limited funds on protecting and promoting rubbish his ilk generate rather than foreign content.

2. Of course the ottomans were barbaric, they committed fratacide, genocide, waged wars constantly - that's why they had an. Empire. Peaceful morally correct nations never amounted to anything. Every power in the world is built on blood sweat and tears.

The Turkish folks probably don't know a Turkic folk named Kutubeddin Aybek, the spiritual son and top commander of childless Afgan Sultan Ghori, established the first Muslim Saltanat in Delhi after defeating the Hindu King in the Second Battle of Tarain in 1192...

Please note Sultan Ghori had tried a number of times to conquer Hindustan, but failed. He got so pissed off with his commanders he put barley sacks around their necks and paraded them in the streets of Kabul!! Then, he appointed Aybek as the top commander, and the rest are details....

Kutubeddin Aybek's mazar is in Lahore...

Pak folks basically see their own ancestors in Ertu'rul and Osman Gazis...

By the by, the Anatolian Muslim Civilization, which gave rise to both the Selchuk and Ottoman empires, was the fruit of the work of the Horasan Erens like Mevlana Jelaleddin Rumi. So, it's a cyclic matter...
