Arab pilots flying the best machine the money can buy, and once the original manufacturer got panicky looking at the results, brought their own F15s as well, yet results were not any better for them.

What chance Su30s got, compounded by the fact, being flown by "Indian pilots" !!

There was No crash in 2016 ; the last crash was in May 2015 (19 May 2015 )

Given that we are literally flogging our Su 30s -Nearly 300 Hours flying Per year
This is bound to happen

What crash rate got anything to do with the results of DACTs? When our product, the JF17 flown by PAF pilots is locking horn with the the best America has to offer and coming on top, and when historical, the PAF pilots have spanked their Indian counterparts quite badly in all wars, chances of SU30s against JF17s is quite slim. Mind you, the upcoming block 3 will be more lethal.

>200 MKIs in service for >17 years now and being flown 200-250 flight hours every year, crashes are bound to happen especially when these machines are being pushed to the limit. Frankly, the IAF has done a tremendous job of keep the flight safety record of their MKIs so high (this is only the 6th crash in 17+ years), they were never designed to be operated as hard as this by the Russians.


No matter what any idea wants to say, any objective analysis will prove the IAF has one of the best flight safety records of any airforce in the world (<0.22 accidents per 10,000 flight hours).

Two crashes in single day one chetak helicopter and one su-30 mki.

Our defence budget is 1.8% of our GDP & Pakistan spends 3.2%.Rather our main budget will decrease in future.It clearly says who is caring much about poverty..
