Wife of former left-arm fast bowler and ex-Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram, Shaniera Akram fired back at a troll on Tuesday, stating that Pakistan was her country too after she was criticised for urging Pakistanis to take notice of littering.
Shaniera Akram had shared a video of the beach in Karachi, urging people to shed the habit of littering. “Lets stop thinking we are separate provinces & start acting as one whole united country,”she tweeted.

She followed up her message with another tweet, urging people to unite since ‘this has gone too far’. That apparently didn’t settle well with a follower on Twitter, who slammed her for lecturing Pakistanis.
“Wow @iamShaniera you are so good at lecturing us Pakistanis-No doubt before marrying you must be teaching sociology to PhD students,” tweeted Kiran Ahmed.
Not to be outdone, Shaniera Akram fired back at the troll, stating that she wasn’t aware one needed a PhD degree to care about Pakistan.
