Russian UAVs are well known (Orlan, Eleron, Dozor, Forpost..). This is not any of them. Must be Iranian.

All Iranian UAVs of this configuration are being called Shahed-129.

Latest version of Shahed-129 MALE UCAV was shown to the Iranian nation as they held massive rally in the Iranian capital, Tehran, to mark the 37th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution victory. (February 11, 2016)

The new version seems to feature Synthetic Aperture Radar under the fuselage and SATCOM in the nose section, in addition to improvements in the the engine bay.

Does Iran have communication satellites that can link up with UAVs SatCom ? I ask because Turkey was lacking in that area did not have enough transponders on existing satellites, so they launched TurkSat-4A, TurkSat-4B and going to launch TurkSat-5A this year.

Based on the pictures and videos posted on this forum there is only one version of the Shahed-129 operating in Syria.

There shouldn't be more than a handful operating in Syria no more than 4 or 5 at max but the Shahed-129 is clearly not the only Iranian UAV operating in Syria

That said! Come on man, anyone with that information and an exact number is not likely to plaster it over the internet!

There are definitely more than 4-5 as they are used also against Israel and in Lebanon.
