Turkey will never be a member of the EU, for she is not seen as an equal, but a convenient servant at most. Many Europeans still see Turkey and Turks as barbarians and a threat, especially in the coming 50 years when Turkey hopefully will become a developed regional power. They will never let Turkey have a say in Europe

the Ummah is also impossible at the moment, at least for the coming 50 years, because it's obviously experiencing a kind of middle ages, dark times indeed.

Turan would be cool, but how can we have a strong and influential union when the other potential member states are thousands of kms away. furthermore, except from a small strip of land called nakchivan, we do not have any physical connection with other Turkic states.

SCO would be worse than the EU, we would become puppets states of Russia and China

The ideal path would be, in my eyes, an eastern Mediterranean union, not filtering the nations on religion, ethnicity or culture, but common goals of economic and social prosperity, technology, freedom, and self determination. Potential members could be varying from Greece to Kazakhstan, but again, this will be impossible to obtain regarding many regimes in the region. These nations must learn to stick to each other and stop the intermingling of foreign powers with the autonomy and self determination of these countries, for the people cannot choose their own leaders, but they are chosen for them by the west. This is one of the biggest problems, combined with the downfall of a functional juridical system which should be protecting rights.

No union, at least for now.

Surprised no Turks voted for the SCO to be honest. Yes we know you have issues with the Russians and Chinese but your Turkic brothers in C Asia seem to be just fine working with these nations.

Europe will never accept you because they fear you (all other excuses like corruption and human rights are nonsense taking into account the inclusion of nations like Bulgaria and Romania in the EU).

The Ummah is fragmented and divided by internal conflicts (Iran vs Arabs being the most obvious one)

Turkic nations are divided as well (2010 South Kyrgyzstan ethnic clashes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Whilst the SCO is far from perfect it does provide Turkey the chance to join the rise of Asia, which is an obvious shift currently taking place in global politics. Not only will it bring Turkey closer to its Turkic kin in C. Asia but it will also provide a platform through which it can interact with major rising powers that will dominate the coming centuries.

Best bet would be, go for Balkan Union (Turkey-Albania-Kosovo-Macedonia-Bosnia..non EU territory).

Russians & Americans both will support. US strategy had been to mobilize EU to counter Russian influence and Russian goal had been to ensure a weak, somewhat destabilized EU to ensure it can focus on the rest of the globe. Neither in essence wants EU to be a bigger player but rather a proxy.
