Question for those who might know, is the Karachi steel mills still operational in any capacity? If that is not the case, where would we get the different types of naval grade steel required for the production of warships and subs in Pakistan?

This is the future.
8 type 054a frigate
4 f22p
4 Ada class
2 Destroyers
3 Agosta Submarines
8 Type 41 submarines
3 Nuclear submarines
These all can be fitted with babur cruise missile and long range air missles
60 J20 for naval air force (at the moment a wish but no other long range jet available)
18 ships + 16 Submarines with 60 long range fighters should be enough to counter any threat

yup, its available for Chinese equipment
PN got subs/ships
PAF got it inital block of thunder
army got some equipment
all though credit line

There is a fund for capital purchase which is assigned to either force as per their proposal each year. Hence you can see the rotation of big ticket items between the trig-services in capital procurement.

I think we can safely assume PN will go for a customized version of Type 54, and numbers will be around 3-4 .. Its a very Decent Ship .. I hope PN replace all their Type 21 frigates with these Type 54'a , with additional Azmat class FAC's .

I don't think we are in position to be "retiring any ships" instead it should be enhancement to ships and attaining new platform and ships

I hope the Type 054As are coming with the SLR-66 APAR and OTHR suite. It'd be ready to deploy the HHQ-9 and LR-AShM like CM-302.
