Good going, you brought up 300-400 year old history as leverage. Considering your pilots are barely getting 80 hours at best on most types while your Mullah and their associated crony propaganda structures churn out cartoonish hardware that puts actual Iranian defence manufacturing ability in a bad light.

As for defense capability, the advertised threat from Iran is limited to obsolete armor formations that sit right now on the Iraqi or Turkish border or attack helicopters.
The airforce is generally a hodgepodge of bastardized 70's aircraft mostly still stuck on 80's avionics at best of which most modified ones are prototypes or token few while the rest just sit there as funds are lost into fake propoganda projects like the Qaher.

The only real threat Mullah Iran had,has and will for the near future will have is proxy militancy and sponsoring Shia based terror groups and sectarian violence. That is something we fight day in day out with you and a war that is ongoing.

So please do bring it on in some form of mental jingoism if it helps, on some issue that even your government is keen to play down as technicalities of this shootdown because they want good relationships with more than one neighbor and China.
Well , look like you see your country in better shape than us ....

Our army ( ground force , air force , navy ) need some attention , it's true , but there are sanctions ....so we have too make everything by ourselves .... And whenever we focus on something, we achieved great results .... For example , our current focus is on anti air systems and We are getting more results than you ....

We could make deal to buy more than 100 airplanes , and we wanted too buy more than 100 sukhoi 30 but ....

No one is disparaging Iranian survival, but neither does that survival make up for lack of vision(or ability to see through ideas) and a theocratic regieme focused on boasting and fantasies.

As for the SAM threat, beyond the hybrid HAWK systems and the S-300 radars that were brought in; not much exists both in terms of coverage and response.

So regardless of who had it tougher, there is less of a military threat from Iran and more serious threat with the Shia population of Pakistan whose loyalties wrt Iran are tilted due to association and its influence upon religious and community influences.
While it is nowhere near total and 9/10 Shias in Pakistan have their loyalties in Pakistan; even the 1 has dangerous implications for our security in case of a confontration with Iran.

More of an emotional response rather than a factual one based on documents and facts.

You are one of the most delusional person I know. You tend to overestimate Pakistan...remember India has 7 times your military budget, and 9 times Pakistan's economy. This is not 80's or even 90's where there was some parity between India and Pakistan...so my suggestion is stop believing in conspiracy theories and grow up. You can do nothing to India except going before UN and OIC to complain about India's behaviour
We can annihilate India and it's 7x military and 9x economy in a matter of a few hours. I can see who's delusional here!

Google bavar 373 and go to Iran section and glance through the pages of air defence. The launchers and radars in the inventory are 100% Iranian. 100% since you cannot find another similar system operating elsewhere.

What does having no other operators have to do with hybridized US systems and coverage issues?

The existence of demo items is not indicative of widespread operational usage. Iran's primary sites are still HAWK based(with improved hq-2) thrown in. If the Bavar and saayied sams were in high operational capacity, the Israelis would not wait till the S-300 to start changing tactics and procurement of further EW equipment .

Again, not disparaging capability but actual availability

You are being diplomatic here. In case of a confrontation with Iran 9/10 Shias will have their loyalties with Iran, not with Pakistan!

I actually think @Oscar is being unnecessarily pessimistic. Pakistani Shia's are well, Pakistani. Iran tried to play the Shia card in 1980's Iran-Iraq War and Iraqi Shias remained loyal. And please stop with the sectretarian quotes, its unislamic, unworthy of Muslims and illegal.

As it is, the threat from Iranian S-300's and HAWK ripoffs is pretty small. The PAF trains to engage and defeat a much larger, sophisticated and well trained Air Defence System, with scores of S-300 launchers, ie India. You think the much smaller and poorly equipped Iranian is going to be able to stop PAF.

You forget that Iran has mostly poor roads in its Eastern provinces, while we have excellent infrastructure there. In an Iran contingency, we could quickly move heavy armour elements from II and Corps to the region.

Well... Shia in Pakistan have given loyalty a whole new meaning.

If it is true. Then what r they doing here. They must go there then. Though I know that's not true. Their Love for Iran is one thing and fight with them against Pakistan is 2nd.

wasn't he killed by mqm?
No, " The terrorist, identified as Kamran Bhatti, was a leading member of the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and was wanted in at least 20 high-profile cases, police said.".

So. is Pakistan going to complain or nothing???????!!!!!!

Is it clear where did PAF shoot down the UAV?
