GOKHAN ramjet powered long range networked a2a missile

Turkish F-16s will be armed with superior BVR a2a missile to compare with Greek F-16 AIM-120C7

RaMjet powered GOKHAN will be superior to the METEOR in speed and in technological capability with the next generation seeker , two-way datalink , expanded no-escape envelope, improved high angle off-boresight capability , etc

SSB President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün: (F-16 modernization)

OZGUR-2 modernization will be more capable than VIPER

Ahmet Akyol, General Manager of ASELSAN:

With the F-16 modernization, we will offer our F-16s more than 20 technologies.

When is the GOKHAN slated to enter service?

So after having been fooled about F35s Turkey is being humiliated with F16s?

Turkiye just modernize its F-16 feet
and not only F-16s

but also Turkiye develops KAAN , ANKA-3 and KIZILELMA

İf No F-35
There will be KAAN , ANKA-3 and KIZILELMA that distributed team which will operate with each one with their own unique roles

F35 users receive a password from lockheed everyday to activate the aircraft. This means Turkish airfoce would need permission everyday to fly the plane which basically means Turkiye will never be able to persue its independent foreign policy those expensive planes would become useless even if they were delivered.

this was from the raf documentary right

hmm... Are the Israeli F-35s under a similar restriction?

Basically other then airframe and engine all other stuff on f16 would be turkish

Can they make similar upgrade on let's say mig 29and jf17

F-35 is like as a flying computer
The internal programming of the F-35 includes more than 8 million lines of code, more than 4 times as much as the F-22

1 .... Mission data loads (MDL)
The MDL has to be loaded into the F-35’s onboard computer before each mission and has to be updated after each mission

Only one location in the US is currently capable of programming the MDL for all F-35s in the World

2 ... Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)
Another major weakness of the F-35

ALIS is a complex computer system consisting of 65 individual programs with 16 million lines of code that continuously collects and analyzes aircraft data

All F-35s must update their mission files and ALIS profiles before and after each flight in the ALIS mainframe in the US

ISRAEL
Israel has a unique position in the project because it is the only country that is allowed to equip the F-35 with its avionics and software

Israel is staying outside the global network with ALIS ,
Israel has installed its own maintenance software

Turkiye ( TAI and ASELSAN - HAVELSAN - TUBITAK BILGEM ) can make similar upgrade on all Fighter Jets in the world ... that doesnt matter İts MIG-29 or JF-17

-- CAKIR Cruise Missile
-- AKBABA anti-radiation Missile

If we had a domestic engine that was reliable and gave the performance of the F110 engine, we wouldn't have bothered to upgrade the F16s. We would gradually sell them all to Ukraine and the new NATO countries in Eastern Europe. And we were gradually building a relatively inexpensive 5th generation single-engine aircraft based on the Hürjet. We started this job just because there was no domestic engine.

I can see Iranians and Syrians shivering in their pants.
Why would they?

Who told you that?

Structural modernization will also take place on these aircraft. Just like the Block-30s, the airframe life of the F-16 Block 40 and 50/50+ fighters will also be increased. A project has been initiated to extend the structural service life of the fighter jets until 2050 and to strengthen them structurally. In other words, the aircraft will reach 50% more service life than the standard at which they were first produced. This type of structural strengthening projects are very detailed and you are almost rebuilding the aircraft.

In short, the F-16s within the TAF will be completely renewed and will serve at the 4++ level for at least 20 years in the relevant fleets of the air forces. The Block-40s will probably be withdrawn from service from the mid 2040s onwards.

With this, the F-16 indigenization process has now reached its final limit. It is becoming a domestic aircraft with everything except the design, license rights for new-production and engine production license rights.
