The best way is to make everybody irrespective of caste or religion competitive. This can be done my better primary and secondary education system. Government instead of introducing quota system should improve the primary and secondary education system.

Yes, it would take time, but Indian government had last 65 years at its disposal and did nothing. It took the easier way. If it continue with the same thinking, you will see no difference in Muslims/OBC/ST/SC communities in next 65 years.

The backwardness of Muslims should be blamed both on the Muslim leaders and the government. It is good that Muslims in India are realizing the importance of good education and slowly but steadily coming into the main stream.

Those who tralsk about 4.5 % reservation....the reservation is among lower caste in the minorities. Though these religions don't accept castes, but this the reality of Indian society.

The 4.5% is jsutified because, lower caste of my religion are also getting reservation, so to say religion based reservation did not exist is lie. If SC and ST are not considered Hindu, then why these anti-conversion agenda by RSS? Let them choose their religion. If Hindus are getting reservation, then all other religious minorities also should get.

On the other hand Muslim population is 14% in India

If government is giving reserved quota to so called low caste Hindus then Muslims too deserve a quota
