Chinese graduates lament Western degrees no longer a fast track for top jobs, employers prefer local degrees

If Chinese people do not value US education any longer, we will see a sustained drop in application for US universities from China (to the point where it will become a trickle). This can only be confirmed after Covid related restrictions are removed. Anecdotal claims like the ones made in this thread cannot be trusted.

Even if Chinese demand for US education moderates, I suspect that the spots will easily be taken by students from other nationalities.

And? You make robots, not free thinking, intellectual people. As i said, too stupid to use a subway.
Your tiny cities actually have subways? What are they? Like five miles long with three stops like Disneyland? Lmao

You know China has the largest subway systems in the world right? This is why I know your stories are pure crock. Lmao

Well, from the title alone, I would say that Chinese society is getting more mature. After all, it should be the personal ability that decides whether one gets top jobs, not the type of degrees he has.

.
Maybe one of the Chinese brothers/sisters here can confirm if it is accepted in all Chinese Higher Education institutions since the results and certificate come directly from the Ministry of Education in China. Maybe @Dungeness brother can please confirm.
Yes, and this is an oral test for quick pickup of Mandarin. There is another more comprehensive test also by Ministry of Education called HSK (abbreviation of Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì, meaning test of Chinese-language ability). HSK is widely in China as well as by many overseas institutions/universities as a proof of Chinese language proficiency. If anyone has plan to study in China or seek China-related jobs with MNC's I will recommend getting a HSK cert.

You don't understand the meaning of this article. China's demand for western education has not declined, but the composition of students studying in the West has changed.
In the past, the best students in China chose to go abroad. Now, in addition to the students from famous foreign universities, those who go to ordinary western universities are the losers of China's college entrance examination, and those who are eliminated by China's domestic universities. Therefore, graduation certificates from foreign ordinary universities are no longer popular in Chinese companies.

Yep. Unless they went to a high tier school like MIT or Stanford, they are probably rich kids who just spent their time fucking around overseas. A lot of them don’t even acquire useful skills and experience overseas so why would they be valuable to employers?

They implemented a subway before you guys 1969 vs 1971
Yes, US subway opened in 1892, China started very late, but develops super fast. But it's very strange for someone caring more about when they were first made instead of how they are right now. You seem to be stuck in the past.

But Chinese people don’t know how to use subways tho lmao that dude is such a habitual liar, bragging about Athens’ theme park train lmao
lol, are you kidding me...

LOL!

Hey you should stop celebrating your 1940's revolution and stick with things only in the present. Forget your animosity with Japan too. You seem forever stuck in the past as a country!!!!

Ah you are too funny. I'm just making an observation of a date and you start making sweeping statements.
