You've been watching too many DCS videos on YouTube. The PL5 issue is a software bug in the game. The reports of the gun angle optimised for ground attack have only been on DCS, I've yet to see any official sources for it. The JF-17 in DCS is going to be an approximation, based on publicly available sources, and the gaps filled in by guess work by the developers. When the module first appeared in DCS, the SD-10s appeared to be performing way beyond real life specs and had to be changed.

PL-5E has a confirmed kill against an Iranian drone, which can be a challenging target for SRAAM.

not a challenge for an infrared homing missile. Although PAF have never officially disclosed how the drone was destroyed. @SQ8 do you have any specifics of this incident?
