@Quwa

You should write an article dedicated to the utility of CFTs for JF-17. I think that CFTs are no less important than the AESA. While your at it, Look into the possibility of putting them on the current fleet. The Israelis succeeded in doing that with their earlier F-15As.

@JamD

Do you think it'll be possible? Will the structure be able to support compact CFTs? Will the plumbing be able to take them on? The idea is to get rid of those those godawful drop tanks and free up the hardpoints.

I would imagine it would be possible. There are more issues to consider than the plumbing alone though.
1. Aerodynamics: Low speed aerodynamic changes you can probably get away with but transonic and supersonic changes need careful analysis and testing. The area rule would need to be satisfied. Also on the low speed side the jf17s wing is mounted pretty high up and any cfts mounted on top might interfere with flow from the lerx.

2. Structural. As expected this would involve a lot of structural considerations. How much weight can the structure take at all the mounting points for cfts (and all other flight loads).

The design of a cft will be a very involved process and something I hope is being carried out right now. Iteration after Iteration would need to be done and then figure out how much fuel you are actually adding and whether it is worth all the structural and aerodynamic penalties you may be incurring.

Have a look at the insignia patch. Its either Iraq, Egypt, Syria or Yemen.
With Syria in total mess, and Yemen not that likely.. it leaves two guesses.

And the correct one is Iraq.

Iraq it is:

What is the name of the one on the brochure from Trishul?

Can't say, must be a new version of the OC series perhaps, the search range is up to 100 km which is too good to be true.
