I as a Turk who waste my time to reach neccesary informations regarding Turkish defence industry, didn't know what you know regarding Turkey's technological capabilities and NATO connections dude. I didn't know NATO had a vision to share defence technologies for all partners as well. but I just wondered If NATO have such vision, Why All NATO countries are not advanced at defence technologies but ordering many things from abroad ? Why There are limited sources among NATO partner countries which you may order the toys you demand from such as French, Germany, England and USA ?

BTW, There is nothing surprise. A country which have an advanced SAM system, can engage a flying object. It has nothing to do with being a Syria or Turkey.

There will be another armed conflict in Iraq between central arab sunnis against malki government . Iraq's impotent army would not last 2 month in a conflict with the armed rebels from Syria and Arab tribes of Anbar , its only a matter of time .

Central Iraq along with KRG will enter in an unofficial confederation with Turkey and Central Iraq already borders with the gulf region giving Turkey direct land access to the Gulf countries , As for southern Iraq they can go join iran and wait for their Mahdi to " free them " .

Iraq says Turkey rejects Kurd export pipelines

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Turkey has told Iraq it will reject any extension of oil and gas pipelines from Kurdistan without the approval of the Baghdad government, Iraq's oil minister Abdul Kareem Luaibi was quoted as saying by the state media network on Monday.

Iraq's Arab-led central government and the Kurdistan regional government (KRG), run by ethnic Kurds, are in a long-running dispute over how to exploit the country's crude reserves and divide the revenues.

Baghdad says it alone has the authority to control export of the world's fourth largest oil reserves, while the Kurds say their right to do so is enshrined in Iraq's federal constitution, drawn up following the U.S.-led invasion of 2003.

"Turkey has officially informed Iraq it rejects extending oil and gas export pipelines from the Kurdistan region to pass through Turkey without approval from federal government," the network quoted the minister as saying.

The Turkish energy ministry declined to comment on the statement.

Kurdistan's Minister for Natural Resources Ashti Hawrami said earlier this month the autonomous region was pressing ahead with plans to build its own oil export pipeline to Turkey, despite objections from the United States, which fears the project could lead to the break-up of Iraq.

Resource-hungry Turkey has heavily courted Iraqi Kurds, straining ties with the Iraqi central government.

Prime Minister Nuri al Maliki's media advisor Ali al-Moussawi said Turkey's rejection of the pipeline would help enhance bilateral relations between Ankara and Baghdad, which have deteriorated over the past year.

"The government welcomes Turkey's move, which will significantly help to stabilize the region and also strengthen relations between central government and Kurdish region,"" Ali al-Moussawi added.

Ankara has been locked in a war of words with Maliki, a Shi'ite, since December 2011, when he ordered the arrest of his Sunni Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, who took refuge in Kurdistan before fleeing to Turkey.

GAS LICENSE DELAY

Iraqi Kurdistan halted oil exports through the Baghdad-controlled Iraq-Turkey pipeline in December in a dispute over payments to oil companies operating in the autonomous region.

In early January, Kurdistan began exporting crude oil directly to world markets through Turkey, further angering Baghdad, which threatened action against the region and foreign oil companies working there to stop "illegal" crude exports.

A broad energy partnership between Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan ranging from exploration to export has been in the works since last year.

Amid uncertainty over the detail and timing of the deal, Turkey's energy watchdog EPDK on Friday again delayed a decision on whether to award a license for Turkish firm Siyah Kalem to import gas from Kurdistan.

Siyah Kalem had sought extra time from Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) for its application due to difficulties in reaching agreement with the northern Iraqi administration. It was given until the end of 2013.

Turkish officials initially indicated that they thought a purchase agreement signed with the KRG was legally sufficient to allow imports into Turkey. But officials later confirmed any such agreement would need to be approved by Baghdad.

^ Let's hope Kurdistan becomes independant soon, But without the Nineveh plains or Kirkuk, they can take their three little provinces and declare a state.

As for the Syrian rebels, I'm not too worried about them. They have been 2 years in Syria with the support of the west and they could do remove Assad. Iraq, with the support of Russia, china AND the US as well as Europe will annihilate any forces coming from Syria. Iraq has more than enough time to arm and prepare for any hostile regime in Syria. Besides even if Assad falls, The civil war between Arabs and Kurds, internal fighting between the FSA groups won't end.

The CIA is already stepping up its cooperation with the Iraqi "ISOF intelligence", The US might also start operating drones to target Jubhat Al-Nusrah terrorists and the (un)Islamic state of Iraq fighters from Iraq.

If bad get to worse, than neither china, Russia, or the US will mind sending Iraq some troops to put down any terrorist offensive. But That's highly unlikely though since the Iraqi forces are already prepared to send the terrorists to hell. With the arrival of the Fighter Jets and attack helicopters, we are going to see the the bodies of alqaeda members fly over the place (literally)

If it's truly to be a Syrian revolution (along the lines of Egypt - which required no armed rebellion) then Syrians only should have a say. Not the Americans, not the Britishers, certainly not the Qatari or Saudis or even the Turks. Syrian problem will require Syrian solution.

as for Iraq - it is coming out of a war that was "thrust" upon it illegally and immorally --based on a pack of lies and deception. We all pray for Iraq to prosper and to take advantage of the resources it has. The separation of Kurdish north from mainland Iraq should not be acceptable. In fact, this will clash with the interests of Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria itself

Iraq is getting fed up with Kurdistan. The Kurds are a cash drainage, all they do is take money and conspire against Iraq. They already have a semi-state, with their own government, military, education system. The only thing they share with iraq is the passport, currency, and official borders.

Iraq can't reverse any of this. So we just have to accept reality. The only problem is the disputed territory, with the
Current arms deals it shouldnt be hard for Iraq to prevent them from going into kurdish hands. If they do separate it will be a bless since Iraq would save billions of dollars per year.

The Syrian issue will also lead to the creation of an autonomous kurdish region. But there also problems between the Kurds and Arabs in Syria over oil wells, which are vital for both groups survival. A "united Kurdistan" is highly unlikely though.

Beside this deal, Iraq is currently negotioating a second deal for fighter planes ( probably SU 30 MKK ), I doubt it is in this deal.

Either take the tiny strip from Dohuk or let the oil pipelines and train tracks through Kurdish areas. They would have no choice since they need Iraq's ports for transport anyway.

Sorry but why you think it should be the SU-30 MKK do you know there is another SU-30 they call it MKI which is better.

MKI is designed for India, its better but other countries have all bought MKK so I think that if Iraq buys SU 30 it will be MKK aswell.

No fighters are on order from Russia. The MKI has upgraded radars, aviation, improve engine,...

The MKI is an air superior fighter with sophisticated weaponry and systems. It is not a priority for Iraq at the current stage. Iraq should work on air-defence and multi-role fighters, as well as attack helicopters to counter terrorists and militant threats.
