The whole value of JF17 project in not 8 billion. Plus take it unit wise. If we assume that the deal was for 150 planes (current order of JF17), it sits to be 40 million Euro per piece.

The aircraft was made for being flexible and embargo proof. It can take in avionics from any source. French Italian or Chinese. Software f Jf-17 was written in Pakistan , and Pakistan can integrate any weapon or electronics at will.
Thats where in Pakistani case jf17 wins over F-16 as no such option with F16. Any change or addition has to be done with permissions of uncle sam.,and options are limited,
Jf-17 radar is assembled at PAC Kamra. Many software upgrades were made in the radar which enhanced performance.
