It appears the KJ-600 has taken its first flight according to Interstellar. On SDF, he says "
Waiting for the first photo..."

I've already seen the prototype (in green primer) but I'm not allowed to post the images!

But he only noted "waiting for" ... nothing on a maiden flight.

I was thinking shouldn't the maiden flight be taken place in aircraft factory rather than Yanliang test site?

It should be the responsibility of aircraft factory to complete basic tests like take-off and landing and other flight parameters to ensure it is air worthy before they send the aircraft to Yanliang for further testing on radar performance and others.

Imo some sort of new anti-corrosion paint like the green we've seen on the Batch 03 J-15s.
