DDG 135 & LPD 999 - Update

DDG 135 looks similar to the Type 052C class from this angle -- standard 100mm dual purpose gun, Type 730 CIWS, and Active Phased Array Radar.

FL3000N RAM on the newly launched LDP999, marking it the second known installation thus far. It seems that the PLAN has added the FL3000N as part of its next generation of Ship Self Defense Systems.

It's great we finally got a new destroyer after a 5 years hiatus, but still no one can deny Type 052C is less advanced than Japanese or Korean destroyers launched in the last few years.

With a deteriorating regional security environment China seriously need to pump more money into PLAN.

With a deteriorating regional security environment China seriously need to pump more money into PLAN.

I think the Type 052C and Type 051C is sufficient to counter Korean destroyers. It's the Japanese destroyers that needs more attention.

That's why we have a Type 052D in construction.
