What's new

Chinese Shipbuilder CSOC unveiled new Frigate, LHD and Submarine designs

specially the LHD looks very similer to Tarawa-class amphibious assault ship of USN.

a ship with a big *** tarmac on top......obviously its gonna look the same!
There's only so many ways to design a ship like this
all of them will look same, but that doesn't mean they are a copy of each other.

Yes, Samsung said the very similar thing in court when Apple sued them.

The US does NOT have the Technology/ resources to design & operate a modern Diesel AIP Submarine .

The US Navy had to lease one from Sweden instead , the SSK Gotland .

US leased an SSK because it does not OPERATE one. Not because is cannot design and build SSKs. If you can build SSNs, you can also build SSK. AIP is not magic, and there are a variety of working options.

In any case , nuclear submarines can never be considered "quiet" .
A Diesel AIP equipped submarine is far far more quiet than any Nuclear sub .

One need only review the performance of the SSK Gotland & the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Collins class subs and how they "sunk" the US Carriers during the war games.

It is a fallacy to consider SSNs 'not quite'. But they are designed for particular roles, which take advantage of having 'unlimited' endurance and power and bigger size (i.e. high transit speed, more powerful sensors). SSK simply have other advantages (as well as disadvantages). SSK without AIP have performed well in 'sniping' carrier groups ONCE THEY CAUGHT THEM e.g. when it operating in support of e.g. landing operations. Yet an SSK may well have trouble keeping up with a carrier force that is moving at speed in open seas. There is not one model inherently superior.
