Okay, lets suppose, that IK is an infant, a baby, who didnt know that Bajwa using his cunningness is bringing IK into power by using all means necessary.

So, if IK oblivious to all these facts, becomes the PM and is considered innocent, right ?

Now, would you want such a dumb incompetent PM to lead Pakistan who doesn't know what is happening around him, under his nose ?

Therefore, lets stick to facts. PTI wanted to come in power, military helped PTI accomplish that, this is unconstitutional and both PTI and Military should be held accountable but IK started blaming Bajwa everywhere. Both Bajwa and IK knew what was going on. They are not 6 & 7 year old kids, they are 60 and 70 years old babas.

IK extends Bajwa's tenure after that. Then Bajwa stands aside, IK falls. IK starts a smear campaign against Bajwa, while Bajwa remains unaffected and completes his term (hopefully- still waiting for that last second martial law as predicted by Pakistan's brain washing media).

IK tries his best to turn masses against the military, creating a divide, but IK remains helpless. IK understands importance of COAS so again starts giving out statements when new COAS is to be assigned, since IK was brought into power through COAS.
Bajwa gives out statement that Military showed hands in politics but it will not anymore. Military tried same with MQM to outcast PPP in sindh in 80's and early 90's, the strategy didnt go as planned. Now military repeated same strategy with PTI but IK turned out to be a hot headed fool.

Now while Bajwa gives out statement that military won't involve itself in politics, the political parties inside Pakistan started debating about COAS selection and started to show their involvement in this process. The following are todays headlines :

1. COAS appointment: Zardari's suggestion to be on number one, says Asif (The news)
2. Imran Khan claims President Alvi will seek his advice on key appointment (The news)
3. PM Shahbaz receives full support from coalition partners on COAS, CJCSC appointments (The news)

Anyways, even if the nation thinks that Army shouldn't meddle in politics, here the top politicians of Pakistan are having a go at the COAS's they want, including Imran Khan. This is a clear indication that political parties want Army to remain in politics. Also, all the conspiracy theories against Army mapped by Media brain washing and Imran Khan's statement have come out to be false.

A legit consensus among the electorate is shaping that military especially the land forces should be kept out from each and any civilian institute be it Wapda , thanaydari in psp, clerki in pas , coast guard, munshipunna in fbr and the list goes on . What we the people want is a balanced role among tri services so any of them don't become a state within a state and for that to happen the posts of cjsc ,d.g isi and dgispr must be rotated among the three . It may take a long time but it's worth supporting any politcal force which has the moral authority+ street power to confront the f.a pass status qou . Then we'll gonna turn to the b.a pass bureaucracy , dissolve it and devise an executive structre solely based on accommodating the professionals . @TNT

Lol i am laughing at your posts for past time. Yes my view regarding army has changed 180. Whoever has followed this country and its problem in the past has pointed out that army is the biggest problem. Its just that it is now becoming widely accepted. You keep on denying this wont change the history or the ground reality.

Yes, @VCheng i know Khan gave him the extension which was backed by the opposition as well. Since in Pakistan we praise corrupt politicians and generals why the hate against Khan? Everyone else brought Pakistan to its knees, destroyed every national institution but you seem to hold Khan’s one mistake very dearly.

Mistake was made , at least the guy is trying to fix it.

But that is exactly the point: This was not a mistake. This was the system working exactly as it is supposed to work. IK was just another pawn, and he remains one still. What IK is doing now is counter-productive for his stated goals, more than anything else.

Fact : imran Khan has an overwhelming support in this website. Going by the crowds he is reported to have pulled , such support is probably true in reality too.

Fact: the Bhuttos and Shariefs must also have significant popular support of their own to have survived and flourished so far. May be a but less than imran.

So Bhutto and Sherief ]ooled their resources and threw Imran out. That's politics.

Imran being a clever person, saw he couldn't win in the parliament decides to take it to the ppl where he has a btr chase in his assessment.

But there's this catch 22 of parliament being representative of the population. But he cannot say that because that'd mean he doesn't agree with the people about their elected reps.

So he exploited the cable from his US rep reporting on some underling called Donald Lu voicing his displeasure imran. It was an easy sell because Biden had pointedly given him the cold shoulder. An egotist such as imran will certainly want to explain away such a slight as not against him (he is too above all that) but against his country (which it follows is not quite as highly played as he is!).

But then how do you prosecute a plaint against the USA by himself ?

So the way out he sought was to get the military in his corner which everyone on pakistan respected. But the military did not side with him.

Next thing you know imran used his charismatic personality against the military leadership and the hapless bajwa found himself a sitting duck.


The younger population will hero worship Imran because of his glamor. If he is a good leader he'd use that and turn it into a nation's spirit for doing something good. If he is a bimbo he'd just use it for his personal aggrandisment.

Frankly it's a matter of short time before he comes back to power if the level of support is true. Pakistan's hope will be that he doesn't turn out to be too selfish. And it will involve rightsizing the military influence. And he will have to renegotiate the horrible cpec terms. No economy can survive by being a one sider.
