Posted on: 08:18 PM IST Aug 10, 2015

Pakistan seems to be dragging its feet on National Security Advisor (NSA) level talks with India. Islamabad is yet to get back after New Delhi proposed August 23 for the talks.

CNN-IBN has accessed exclusive details of the divide within the Pakistani establishment over NSA-level talks. According to sources in Pakistan, the country's Army has expressed fears that terror will top agenda at the meet.

Pakistan seems to be dragging its feet on NSA-level talks with India. Islamabad is yet to get back after New Delhi proposed August 23 for the talks.

While the Army fears that India will provide proof of Pakistan's role in Gurdaspur and Udhampur terror attacks, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's regime is finding it tough to convince their all powerful Army.

Sources further said that the Pakistani Army is upset over the omission of Kashmir issue in the joint statement issued by the foreign secretaries of both the countries following a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart Nawaz Sharif.

Meanwhile, sources in the Ministry of External Affairs in India have said that it is unusual for Pakistan to take so long to confirm talks. They confirmed that New Delhi had proposed August 23-24 for NSA-level talks but there has been no response from Islamabad.

They added that India was determined on not calling off talks, adding that the ball was not in Pakistan court.

Pointing that the agenda for the talks was made clear by both PM Modi and Sharif in Ufa itself, they said the focus would be on terror.

Lol Pakistan tried their best to avoid NSA level talks with recent terror push . But hey ! It's the new government at the centre so we will continue to produce proof to Pakistan and whole world . It's up to them to decide on punishing them we don't care . We will keep exposing Pakistan and giving befitting reply to cease fire violations .

Welcome to new Modi-Dovel doctrine . No disengagement but will punch appropriately. Pakistan can cut all diplomatic engagement with India if they want . We will keep in touch with them

Except the jingoistic part of article that the CNN IBN 'accessed' the details of internal strife within the Pak establishment all other points are valid and debatable.

Had it been a bloody attack in Gurudaspur India would have been in the tough position for talks .
But capture of one terrorist change the rules of entire talks.

Pakistan has two choices.
Back off from this talks or moving forward with confidence.
If they cancel this talks India would play a diplomatic game in international platforms.Otherwise top issue in the talks wilk be tgat moron from Faisalabad.

I suspect there will be some more terror attacks in India , may be some deadly with casualties to put pressure onto the Modi's government to back off from NSA talks.
