A PAF Mirage performing Basic Fighter Manoeuvres (BFM). Today, equipped with the modern Grifo radar and AIM-9M Sidewinders, Mirage can put up a decent resistance against modern enemy aircrafts despite being deployed in attack roles.

Having completed 55 years of service in PAF, these Mirages are still frontline strikers. Credit goes to aircract structure reliability by Dassault and subsequent systems maintainance by technical team of MRF in PAC. Even today these jets maintain more then 75% serviceability.

Mirage-V from "Zarrars" somewhere in the North during Mountain Flying Camp. Mirages saw some action in the north during Siachin Conflict when their Recce Versions were employed under escorts to provide photo data of conflict zone. Interestingly they were never challenged by IAF.

PAF Mirage fleet will be retired from active service within this decade. The strike roles of these jets will be taken over by JF-17 due to their superior PGM capability. Meanwhile, we may see lean procurement from PAF as it gears for induction of a 5th Gen system in next decade.
