Guys i think it's a lie... I couldn't find a tender like the news say... No news @ international sources...

Guys i thought Oman tender was a lie but now i see it's not...

Basın-yayın organlarında Şirketimiz tarafından yürütülmekte olan ve Altay Projesi hakkında çıkan " Tek rakibi
Alman Leopard” başlıklı haber hakkında yatırımcılarımızdan gelen sorular üzerine açıklama yapma ihtiyacı
doğmuştur.
Umman Ordusunun modernizasyon ve geliştirme projeleri kapsamında Umman Milli Savunma Bakanlığı’nın
açmış olduğu 77 adet ana muharebe tankı, 9 adet istihkam ve 8 adet kurtarıcı tipindeki uluslararası ihale
yöntemi ile açılan tank tedarik ihalesine 15.08.2013 tarihinde Şirketimiz tarafından teklif iletilmiştir. İhale
kapsamında ayrıca uzun süreli lojistik destek, eğitim ve altyapı hizmetleri yer almaktadır. İhalede karar
sürecinin asgari 2 yıl sürmesi beklenmektedir. Haberde bahsi geçen kapasite ve maliyet bilgileri ise
öngörülerimiz ile bağdaşmamaktadır.
Söz konusu teklif, Savunma Sanayi Müsteşarlığı’ndan alınan olumlu görüşü takiben yapılmış olup, ihalede
Savunma Sanayi Müsteşarlığı’nın nihai yaklaşımı çerçevesinde hareket edilecektir.
Bu açıklamada bahsi geçen işlemlere ilişkin olarak, Şirketimiz Yönetim Kurulu'nun 22.06.2010 tarih ve
2010/11 sayılı kararı ile verdiği yetkiye istinaden, Genel Müdürlük tarafından 15.08.2013 tarihinde Sermaye
Piyasası Kurulu'nun Özel Durumlar Tebliği'nin 6'ncı maddesi kapsamında yukarıda bahsedilen içsel bilginin
açıklanmasının ihale sonuçlanana kadar ertelenmesi kararı verilmiştir. Özel durum açıklaması erteleme kararı,
gizlilik şartı taşıyan ihaleye ilişkin sürecin olumsuz yönde etkilenmemesi ve Şirketimizin yasal haklarının,
rekabet gücü ve pazarlık gücünün korunması amaçlarıyla alınmıştır. Ancak konu hakkında basın-yayın
organlarında çıkan haber nedeniyle erteleme sebebi ortadan kalktığı için işbu açıklama yapılmıştır.
Yukarıdaki açıklamalarımızın, Sermaye Piyasası Kurulu'nun yürürlükteki Özel Durumlar Tebliğinde yer alan
esaslara uygun olduğunu, bu konuda/konularda tarafımıza ulaşan bilgileri tam olarak yansıttığını, bilgilerin
defter, kayıt ve belgelerimize uygun olduğunu, konuyla ilgili bilgileri tam ve doğru olarak elde etmek için

Turkey needs to get motors from ukraine. If Turkey relies on the germans for motors the Altay will not be exported, most of the countries that turkey wants to export to can easily be sanctioned by germany (Oman, Azerbaijan, Pakistan etc.)

I think Japan, under Abe or not, will be cautious when Turkey sells systems with critical Japanese tech to Pakistan or any country that is somewhat close with China. Otherwise i don't see why Japan would create difficulties for Turkey like, for example, the US does. But yes, let's see what Abe will make of it all.

that sucks.. what an idiot relying on GERMAN engines.. thats my point every deal with germany is not worth it there are countries more turkey frindly

Recently there has been some good cooperation with the u.s why doesn't altay just use an american engine? Atak uses american engines, and so do all of the other jets, helicopters, and ground vehicles the TSK uses (except leopards).
