@SarthakGanguly Do you know in 1837 British and their UP aristocratic chamchas tried to impose Arabic script for our language in 80% Hindu majority UP-Bihar and we had to fight decades of court cases to get our language Hindi in Devanagari script to be made as the provincial language. @Truth Seeker right we can see who was being treated as neo-dalits by 1860s.

In one or two cities may be. But, the overwhelming majority of the Muslims of India was in the worst condition. it was indeed one of the reasons for partition.

BTW, in may state, Bengal- almost all east bengalis or now Bangladeshis were wage labors. That is why they still have anger against the West Bengali Hindus. :D

I troll and you burn.
I am hard akhroat , trolling dont get into me

Only in Bengal, not in UP or Hyderabad state, in Punjab-Sindh Muslims were both peasants and Muslim landlords controlling most of the lands while Hindus form the educated and Businessman class.

You over estimate some arab chamchas. Syed Ahmed Khan episode clears all the doubt. They were fighting for their survival.

India now has 29 states. Tell me in which state they were a dominat factor except some cities of UP and Hyderabad which was under Nizam. Tell me seriously.

Yes, you need to take case of each province and princely state separately instead of claiming a non sense. Hyderabad state or UP were not some cities.

Now you are denying the main reason for partition- the marginalization and the insecurity of Muslims.

And, I do not buy the whole up story. There may be some dominance in Lucknow and some western UP cities, but not the whole UP. Eastern UP was a totally different case.

Historian Hayavadana C. Rao wrote about Tippu in his encyclopaedic work on the History of Mysore. He asserted that Tippu's "religious fanaticism and the excesses committed in the name of religion, both in Mysore and in the provinces, stand condemned for all time. His bigotry, indeed, was so great that it precluded all ideas of toleration". He further asserts that the acts of Tippu that were constructive towards Hindus were largely political and ostentatious rather than an indication of genuine tolerance. This aptly sums up Tipu's attitude towards Hindus – it was political and not one of religious tolerance
Are they not supposed to be ???

So following a political agenda makes you intolerant ???

If we go by your definition then almost every ruler was a bigot and a religious fanatic.

About Tippu, its mixed feeling.

I will rate his father as a good general than him, even the rocket invention too was started from him only.

Attacking present day kerala states was the biggest mistake from his side opening up his own yard to British.

He could have even go back after capturing north Malabar area. But he proceeded again too north to get Cochin and Travencore kingdoms. They were able to stop Tippu well, by the time Mysore was under attack.

Yes the mysore rocket was commissioned by Haider Ali.But the effect of these weapons on the British during the Second, Third and Fourth Mysore Wars in 1792 was sufficiently impressive to inspire the British to develop their own rocket designs. Tipu and his men had improved upon the technology and had made it more lethal which ostensibly had caused enough damage to the British army. That is the reason Tipu's name is associated with the Mysore rocket.

Hindus in Eastern UP and Bihar has same amount of poverty as Muslims have. You also know Pakistan movement started from UP aristocrats who felt extremely hurt when Hindus of UP-Bihar rejected Arabic script for their language and extremely terrified that once downtrodden Hindus were creating challenge for their class dominance. It was only in Bengal where there was extreme deprivation among Bengali Muslims. Punjab-Sindh the centre of unionist politics of Muslims landlords joined the Pakistan movement in the last because of the fear of socialist ideology of Congress.

Congreve rockets are my favorite artillery while playing AOE-3 :partay: alongside the Great Turkish Bombard. The British reverse engineered Tipu's rockets and used them against Napoleon

May Allah bless those that brought islam to India and those that defended it there.
stop Dragging Islam and Pakistan in this thread. he was Brave here of United India (India and Pakistan and Bangladesh) of only Pakistani. He was a Great Warrior who Defended Hindu and Islam.

What was the story in Kashmir, Maharashtra, orissa, Central India, Karnataka,Kerala, Jat land, sikh areas, north east, Himalayan Kingdoms? The Muslims of western UP are the most elite of the indian muslims. But, you can not apply their yard stick to other muslims of India.

Tipu Sultan is no hero for Indians.
Yup that was something i was about to say. The reason he lost the final battle was because he was betrayed by his hindu men who opened the gates of the mighty castle.

Read what the Scindia fraction of Marathas, the Siks, the Gurkhas and the dogras did to Muslims and their religious places during 1857. You will be shocked.:coffee: Why muslims of India turned into neo-dalits by 1860s? Everything happened automatically?

really stop spreading lies.. the mosque of Kashi and Mathura built over some of the hioliest hindu temples are still standing strong! majority of muslim are converts from dalits and even after conversions their economic conditions changed only marginally.
