Yes the Meteor is coming to the EAF.. it was signed on in the first deal just like the Scalp..But it works only on the F3R version of Rafale.. Egypt and France are currently upgrading their fighters to that standard,,

Egypt might simply procure the JF-17 Blk 3.. because it needs to replace the J-7s, the Mirage 5 and, the F-4 the Mig-21.. mostly if it comes with ToT and local production ..it can be very interesting.. there are other options.. but the JF-17 Blk 3 seem to be the best replacement at those conditions..Egypt can thus keep it as it is or enhance it with a French or other western engine and Italian AESA radar and an EW suite and avionics either from France or Italy too.. and most likely much more systems..
