Problem with intercontinental ballistic missiles(for us) is that they will have fly over many countries to hit the target bypassing their air defence systems.

It can work for giant countries like America targetting Russia or China or vice versa.

It can even work for India to target giant rival China.

For Pakistan, not so much. We don't have real threats far away from us and even if we do, to target them would be real headache.

Just for example, take a look at map, from Pakistan to UK(hypothetically) how many countries are in between and how many have air defences.

Pakistani AD off course, isn’t that what AD systems are supposed to do ? Intercept terminal vehicles ?

Now that is another thing if out of alliance, one of our ally situated near to the launcher, intercepts it at early stages.
