Washington is preparing to cooperate with a Gulf state instead of Turkey to manufacture F-35

Might be Israel but I am not sure.


This problem is in F-35C only which have achieved IOC recently. The jet can go supersonic without any issue but have not reached the stage of operating at its max potential yet. Secondly, this issue does not affect all F-35C in service.

No country would consider inducting a problematic jet for its defense. F-35 have received lot of bad press during the course of its development which should not be the case because people can misread things.

Every modern jet have its share of problems during the course of its development but some countries conceal better than others.

Perhaps they will add one of the countries to take the lost Turkish orders, but I don't believe that they will be able to produce these components in either country. Perhaps in 10 years and at a higher cost? The US will produce the components itself or give it to a higher tier partner eventually.

Both the UAE and KSA have highly qualified companies in the aerospace industry..for example, 8% of the world's aircrafts' parts are manufactured in the UAE, that is..about 2000 aircrafts..and this is made by only one company "Strata".. there are bigger and more important aerospace companies in the UAE..

Pak should not buy anything from USA. They will ban you any given day....look Turkey how close Turkey was with usa. Turkey can not even buy anything for its security for its choice... Pakistan came out of this illusion long before. I can trust my worst enemy but not USA. They not trust worthy...and no one knows better then Pakistani establishment.

Good reply. I don't know anything about Gulf manufacturing capabilities, just assumed that they were all lazy bums employing foreigners to do their work. Well time will tell which direction the program takes.
