The tables turn in international negotiations. It is what you gain out of these turns and how you consolidate your position and how hard you push your advantage which is what the game is all about. I think for too long we have had apologists who have lined their own pockets in favour of national interest. Good or bad when the man up top is honest it creates difficulties for the other side. I suspect they are looking at chinks in the compatriots armour to bribe, blackmail or bamboozle their way through and not finding them. Then they will look at non conventional means of getting their way. IKs past might be dragged out, local pressure by press and other parties might be exerted or even more non conventional means may have to be adopted. If all of those do not work they will then sit down to see what they can sort out and agree that they have had to take a back seat. I think they are coaxing the orange man to give face to IK by meeting him while IK is showing lack of interest unless there is some meat to the talk. Here in lies the difficulty and the solution needs to come from their side.
