And Turkey defense industry is not well developed in the key areas, like in missiles ( cruise, ballistic and such), radars, Aviation, and as for naval, well turkey sells a good share with Saudi /Qatar and UAE. In the end, Turkey has limited choice, vehicules, few missiles , boats and guns. Those countries and around them need more than that, radars, long range, stuff, tanks, MALE uav etc.. . Turkey got few interesting project in the coming years, with "key" equipment in final stage, at that moment you will see a boom in selling to arabs countries ( Anka, altay, atak , sam and such). your industry has just made their first steps.... that's why they don't buy a lot... for now

Well instead of Arabia or "Arabs" turkey doesn't have much left. South Asia -Pakistan-Africa( only a small part, since mostly chinese/Russian) and maybe 1 or 2 south american countries. So in the End The Big orders will be "Arabs" and African-Pakistan

And as you know, they will never ever order from you since they wether order as "aid" or giving big portions to westerns to not to make sound about their regime,

Yes turkey will have some share with south Asia, but those few countries have a defense industry, so it will be more like JV than pure selling+ they are not huge buyers of defense equipment
In the End in near future the biggest buyers will be "Arabs" and "pakistanis" with few africans
Whetever you like it or not, this is the future main market.

And those few dictatorship countries buy from Russia mainly, the only big buyers from the west is the gulf.

Just think about why BAE (England) is so willing to work with Turkey and accepts no limits for export.Do you think England make a huge investment with Turkey without projection of future sales for TF-X.
Turkey has an big avantages and they know this.For a lot of countries Turkey will be an alternative and reliable source.
TF-X is just one example.They request to work with Turkey for TF2000 frigate but Turkey didnt accept.

Seriously, you thinks that Russia would sell S400 to NaTo member.
How they want provides their security when they give these high tech toys to NaTo also these effect on chines and Indian or other potential buyers of Russians Toys too.
The only possible way for that is firing all of nato commanders in Turkey army and exiting from nato.
