I think if target radar shut down itself, missiles active radar will be on to find target thats my opininion

If the missile catches the target data it stores data and follows it by its own onboard computer calculated path,it doesn't need permament signal emitter. Active homing would make the missile a welcome target.
I am not sure but the state of art ARM could have some backup optical homing too. I AM NOT SURE BRO.

hisar o specs has been changed, savunma ve havacilik dergisi sayi 180 pp 36,seeker changed from iir to rf as an alternative and effective altitude will be 18km but effective radius is stayed same 25km,its very strange to me

hisar-o rf seeker ku band
hisar-u rf seeker ka band,hitt to kill,altitude 30km

Very strange to me too. If max altitude is 18km, range must be more than 25km, at least 35km, probably more like 50.

Hm, this makes me wonder as to how they determine a missile's max range.

Max altitude calculation should be fairly straightforward. You pick an "average day" weather-wise and you fire a missile from sea level at a target straight up and see how high it travels before it runs out of propellant and self-destructs or starts falling back down.

But determining "max range" is a bit more complicated. When the missile is traveling straight up, it obviously does more work against gravity. When you fire it parallel to the ground, sure, it still fights gravity but a lot of that is cancelled out by the lift generated by the missile's fins and control actuators. In a sense, it "glides". Then there's factors like wind speed and direction to figure into your measurements. Also, do you fire the missile from a specific altitude to a target at the same altitude? Or do you fire your missile from an airplane flying as high as possible to a target on the ground, which would naturally yield a much longer range?

Is there a standard way of determining all of these "ranges" as determined by NATO, etc? If not, it sounds like it's up to the interpretation of individual companies and comparing missiles from different manufacturers wouldn't make any sense.

I believe Turkey started to keep some important informations secret until they get reveled.. its obvious that the hardest thing for a air missile is how high it can climb to shoot. Most of medium range missiles are not more than 10000meters. With 18km attitude, it will be the real game changer.. as Turkey doesnt need to spend expensive Long range s400 type missiles to shoot down a hale or other fighter aircrafts..

Bro, At Last trials revealed to public, dual pulse motor of Hisar-O burnt almost 60 second. It is the clear indication of the actual range around 40km+ If we consider the max altitude performance 18km(59000ft) with IIR and RF seeker options inside same launchers, Many of aircraft won’t be safe inside of Hisar effective range.

iir seeker has a limitation itself 25-35km range,it seems range is short but its seeker passive and most dangerous,rf seeker is active and upon to counter measures but range is becoming good,ı think what we see on hisar -o systems, two types of missiles in same battery with iir or rf seeker,so ı think its very clever strategy....if the target is within the limit of the iir seeker with smokeless missile its almost dead,if its not you can use rf seeker missile but targets missiile warning system can detect the missile is coming

With IIR seeker, the missile will be guided close enough to the target using the ground control system (which has radar or some other networked target data) so it's not a problem.

Besides, Clear skies on relatively high temperature regions such as Central Anatolia are convenient to IIR seeker. Rainy, Foggy, Misty weather conditions such as East Black-Sea affect the detecting range/visibility of seeker robustly at terminal phase. The best sensor performing better results are LWIR in Category-1 and 2 class fog and IIR seeker head with LWIR detectors can't perform anything better than the performance of a naked eye in Category-3 so Active RF seeker is better on longer ranges without being effected by wheather conditions but open more to be jammed/detected by enemy sensors.

Here is the results of detection range (km) performance of different bandwith (Naked Eye, MWIR, LWIR) IIR seekers in a condition of a 10 degree temperature differences between ground and target location. As It is seen, The naked eye performs better than any sensor in category-III heavy foggy condition, because heavy fog clouds can't be penetrated by thermal radiations . In Category-II, LWIR is 4x superior to MWIR.

Rain can significantly reduce target contrast on IIR sights and LWIR or MWIR perform similarly in the presence of rain. Range on rainy weather is a dramatic drop off in the 100-500 meter range.

Category I: visual range 1220 meters
Category II: visual range 610 meters
Category IIIa: visual range 305 meters
Category IIIc: visual range 92 meters

so Combination of both sensor on a deadly medium range national missile system inside of same launchers will make a big surprize to enemy assets supposing to benefit the atmospheric conditions in favour of own interests to reach their targets.

Its said that having been detected F18 by searching radar, Serbian commander ordered to launch the missile and switch off tracking and searching radar untill missile reached nearby F-18.
Therefor SAM was compliting cours blind then tracking radar was switched on.
ingilizcemin yettigi kadar anlatmaya calistim.Sirp SAM uniteleri NATO unitelerinin kafasini karistirmak icin surekli farkli yerden bir iki saniye kilit atiyorlarmis. Awacs lar iki saniyede bulamiyormus.
Bu f18 hatta f117 vuruldugundada sinyali gormus ama ciddiye almamis veya yapacak birseyi yokmus.
Sam unitesinin komutani ucagin gecisini gozle gormus. Radar kilidiyle degil goz karariyla misili ustune yollamis kilitlenebilecegi ve kacamayacagi bir anda radari calistirmis.
Kahrolasi acayip ise yariyan bir taktik.

Ve Türkiye resmen açıkladı...

Canikli, Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan'ın, Tunus Cumhurbaşkanı El-Baci Kaid es-Sibsi ile düzenlediği ortak basın toplantısı sonrasında gazetecilerin, Rus basınında yer alan, Rusya savunma sanayi şirketi Rosteh'in Başkanı Sergey Çemezov'un, "Türkiye'nin Rusya'dan 4 adet S-400 füze savunma sistemi bataryasını 2,5 milyar dolar karşılığında satın aldığı" açıklamasına ilişkin sorularını yanıtladı.
