considering the many and different types of threats surrounding us and the budget our neighborhoods and enemies spend for their military purposes, Iran military budget is really nothing. But the main point is we know well where and when we should spend it. It is why nobody dares to attack us although we don't have any military ally state.
For example we help Hezbollah and Hamas and in this way first we help them to protect themselves against Zionist expansionist policies and they are really successful (much better than Arab states) and on the other hand they will be a very reliable ally for us if we need help. There is something I would like to ask the Iranian members here: The government of Iran has repeatedly stated that its nuclear program is peaceful, which Western countries doubt. What is it that Iran wants to gain from a peaceful nuclear program? Energy? They have more than sufficient oil and gas reserves.

Is a nuclear program really worth it? Instead of spending all this money + trying to dodge sanctions, why not invest all that money in green energy R&D (sunlight for example, which you have a lot of)..

You're simply fuc_kig other countries' right to have peaceful use of nuclear energy . Firstly , oil ends 1 day and we need to think and plan for our future .

secondly , Its our right and none of the international laws forbid it .

Ad thirdly , you should be a fool to believe Iran - US conflict is about nuclear energy .
