The Extreme 996 Work Culture in China

Americans are working overtime to find and fabricate reasons to complain about China. Meanwhile people are working 8107 just to survive in countries destroyed by American bombs and economic warfare or remain unemployed but suddenly the dont give a f*** 🙄

Socialism and welfare system are two different things. Mixing them together shows the inadequate knowledge on socialism.

No the examples he said are indeed socliasm. Sociliasm refers to common or public ownership of assets. So govt run schools, libraries, police which serve all citizens without payment are all example of socialism. Welfare refers to handout/payments like unemployment check, minim wage laws etc.
Communism is a political philosophy commited to an enforced economic equality of its subjects. communism must capture the sstate to be meaningful

You should see how Denmark prime Minister rebutted the claim that his country is a socialistic country by Bernie sanders.

What is socialism? China's definition of socialism is:
1. The public economy is the main body.
2. Reduce the gap between the rich and the poor and achieve common prosperity.
3. Reduce exploitation of the people and develop productive forces.

Let's see if the Nordic countries meet these four standards.

1. Nordic countries are dominated by state-owned enterprises. For example, Norway's state-owned enterprise economy accounts for 72% of the national economy, ranking third in the world, second only to North Korea and Cuba. 68% in Sweden and 56% in Finland.

2. The Gini coefficient of Nordic countries is about 0.25, which is the region with the smallest gap between the rich and the poor in the world.

3. Nordic countries have very good per capita income, science and technology. It have very good productivity.

Of course, the Nordic countries are socialist countries.

You should see how socialism was defined before ccp was established.

He rebutted that it is socialist planned economy. Denmark is indeed a market economy with socialism for its people.

Communism and socialism are not the same thing.
What do you think the Nordic countries can't meet the standards of socialism?

Socialism means planned economy. Market economy is not socialism. Don't let CCP's socialistic market economy fool you. It is their political move to save their asses.

Nordic countries are everything non socialistic. Even China is not socialism. China only claims to be socialism. But after saving their asses by market economy, CCP seems to be eager to go back to socialism.

The problem is that there is no end. Socialists will never admit their loss and give up on it. They will continue to persuade people to try it over and over and over and over. Socialism is a VERY OLD idea while capitalism is actually fairly new in the history of mankind.
There is an end. When capitalism is defeated as an ideology and recedes less than 50% of the world population, we will see how it tries to adapt or get destroyed.
The stable socialist model will always be superior, thus capitalism proves unable to defeat it even when the USSR was dissolved.

So far, the trend doesn't look in favor of socialism. So long as people desire for better life, socialism will always be the secondary and trail behind capitalism, just like emotion needs to follow reasoning, not the other way around.

Planned economy is the two core indicators of communism, and the other indicator is the dictatorship of the proletariat. Only two countries in the world are truly planned economies, North Korea and Cuba.
Socialism is a transitional stage towards communism, and our ultimate goal is still communism. However, to realize communism, we must be based on the abundance of materials and wealth, the particularly developed productive forces and the very high level of education of the people, otherwise we will fail.
China is only at the primary extreme of socialism and is far from communism.

We are communists. We have not given up our faith. We are bound to choose the socialist road.

On the contrary, people are desiring socialism all over the globe, even in capitalist strongholds like USA and Singapore.
Though in China, Xi is facing a lot of oppositions from the nouveau rich class resulted from Deng's policies. I hope he stays strong.

These two terms are largely synonyms. Even in China, they are used almost interexchangably.

They have the same goal, which is remove the inequality among human beings. As the result, they have the same economic policy: planned economy, which is inevitable if you want to remove the very source that makes the society unequal - - the desire for profit by each person. But this very source is also the source of vitality of market, without which the price is no longer able to serve as a signal to guide more efficient, thus more profitable use of scarce resources.

But if you truly want to be nitpicking, what I just said isn't entirely accurate. If you think communism means Marxism communism, then communism has no economic policy. Marx didn't bother to speculate on how communistic economy would work at all. He believed that communism will arrive naturally and inevitably so to him it seems to be pointless to discuss how its economy would work. It was only when Lenin took over Russia, he suddenly faced this question that Marx never gave an answer to. Naturally he did what a socialist would do : create a planned economy, which quickly led to disasters and prompted him to adopt NEP, which looks a lot like what Deng did in 1978. Unfortunately, Stalin abandoned it soon after his death. Stalin apparently wanted a pure socialism.

You do not put word into Chinese mouth. CPC is advocating China style socialism 中国特色社会主义. All status quo today is just a transitional phase.

Equality IS socialism.

The USSR remains one of the most equal societies to ever exist, far more than any of the Nordic countries.
