**** NATO. The main reason behind the necessity of accelerating military-industrial development in Turkiye is NATO members' embargo on military systems, which is increasing in scope.

Where are the engines for the Pakistani T-129s? While the risk in the Black Sea is at alert level, NATO's most important naval power in the region, Turkiye, cannot use RAM, MK41 VLS, ESSM on its new build frigates; have to develop and integrate their own systems. (Turkiye is building a frigate for the first time, and the systems produced for the first time have to be integrated in this very first ship.)

While Turkiye was carrying out an anti-terror operation on its southern border, the Germans undermined the Altay project. When the European southern gas corridor pipeline was bombed in our east, Canada placed an embargo on the optical imaging system to prevent the production of tactical UAVs. While people in Turkiye were killed by mortar shells fired from Syria, some NATO members were talking about punishing Turkiye by not providing air defense support. Wanna talk about 15 july ? NATO has long been dead.

Turkiye's current presence in NATO is purely strategic. It's about staying close to your enemy.

  • The export price of the TEI-TS-1400 turboshaft engine is around $1.2 million.
  • For the first time in Turkey, special forging technology was developed for nickel and titanium alloys to be using in TEI-TS-1400.
  • Turkey's first single crystal turbine blade production for TEI-TS1400 was carried out together with TÜBİTAK Marmara. Innovative thermal barrier coating methods were also used during this production.
  • TEI-TS-1400 is currently a state of art turboshaft engine in its class.

Any mention as to when it will be operational?

"An important milestone has been passed for our TS1400 engine and our aviation history, and more than 1400 horsepower(max continuous power) has been obtained from the engine."

Although it has not yet received much attention, one of the biggest success stories of the Turkish aerospace is being written with the TEI over TS1400.

TEI's only breakthrough is not TS1400; The institution's Medium Range Missile Engine, TEI-TJ300, broke the world record in its class by reaching 1342N thrust with a diameter of 240mm.

Akşit, the general manager of the institution, recently announced that they have the infrastructure and ability to produce the next generation engine for the MMU. TEI is currently among the world's most important engine sub-suppliers. However, by the 2030s, it will be one of the world's leading engine design development, test and production centers. If the company is offered to the public during this process, it is one of the shining stars that can make its investor rich.

I hope naval version goes parallel with the engine program, imagine we use them on our Gokbey in the sea. No more seahawk but Naval Gokbey for the Turkish Navy.

Made in Turkey: More powerful than the engine in the ATAK helicopter! Those who hear the engine power are surprised

TEI General Manager Prof. Dr. Mahmut Faruk Akşit answered the questions in the Başkent Kulisi program presented by Kanal 7 Ankara Representative Mehmet Acet. The highlights of Akşit's statements are as follows:

reached 1400 horsepower

We made a more powerful horse engine than the engine in the ATAK helicopter. It reached 1400 horsepower. It passed the tests. We're testing the stronger ones. Our people will hear them soon.
Since we will deliver human life, the tests of our engine continue.
The project officially started in 2017. With the outstanding efforts of the team, we started a motor made of plain white paper in 3 years and 10 months. But it still takes 8-10 years to fly.

we doubled

Our engine can go up to 20 thousand feet without cutting gas. One in the world. ANKA's original engine is around 10 thousand feet. We doubled it. We have produced a family of engine derivatives.

Aksungur remained in the air for about 49 hours. These engines burn little.
We achieved this success with young, bright young graduates. We brought friends who had experience abroad like me and made them consultants. These guys trained. The main job, but the young friends did.
Certification process continues at Gökbey. During tough experiments, refreshes happen. There is no point in getting a certificate without doing that.
Not to be confused with the automotive industry. The numbers in the aviation sector are very small. Producing one engine a week is a serious number in aviation. We want to double it.

let me get this right. TS1400 is more powerful than the CTS800? If so then TS1400 can be placed on ATAK?
