That is why they need a partner to add western gear to the Tank.. the concept is the same as the Armata..

If he is pro Russia.. he will not be able to work in the Ukrainian defence industry..there are other highly qualified scientists in Ukraine..

True..Sleek and powerful.. it is the Armata's brother..same exact design just need modernisation from the Ukrainian side..and for KSA needs, some more modifications to suite the desert environment.. combining both countries capabilities they should be able to come up with a real good and potent tank.. just like what they've done with the AN-132..

Could make a valuable export item. Many middle eastern countries need new tanks such as Jordan which is phasing out their challengers. If this does go through I expect a good number of exports.

Correct, the JV will make sure that it will be at least regionally exported..

After 5 years of announcing this new development the new AN-132 airframe that is supposed to meet modern requirements doesnt even in production. There are more than 50% propbability there will never be any AN-132s in Saudi's inventory like there are no An-158 in Kazakhstan, An-178 in Azerbaijan and India, An-188 in Turkey. These are just some of many examples of their fraud projects.

I agree they don't have a good defense base right now. As I stated in previous topics the new leader of Ukroboronprom is focused on making the company better and focusing on stopping "Russian aggression" by using new technology and inherited technology from the Soviets.

The AN-132 will finish being developed as the Saudis have the monetary capabilities that Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and India don't have. Even if the project is really expensive it will happen as the Saudis will not settle with the project not being completed.

For Saudi baby defence industry Ukraine why not. Chinese today's aircraft was paper and scale projects before in military exhibition. If Russia do what Ukrainian do for Saudi I am Shure kingdom intreint it like turkey in s400 issue

Saudi Arabia is dealing with both Ukraine and Russia in a very pragmatic way.. it will buy technology from both .. already done for many systems.... as for the AN-132 it can already be considered a success.. Saudi Arabia alone needs at least a 100 planes.. it has also confirmed orders from other countries.. the plant is under construction on phases installed..to be ready by 2020, but not only that, all the advanced equipment for making the composite body were bought, delivered and installed..So as a project defined in time.. it is going according to schedule..
