It was the need of the time, a very hard decision, yet we still provide Afghani Talibs sanctuaries. They did not have issues but rather Pakistanis do. Which is very weird and confusing.

And bro OBL caused all this mess upon us, so please refrain from calling him anything near shaheed or what not. The Al Qaeda tactics later repulsed him quiet a lot. And of all the places he lived in this country further tarnishing our image. Killing 3k civilians in US and you expect no response? 1 million killed 35 million displaced in subsequent wars. What Islamic agenda is this? Iraq is a mess, Syria is a mess, Libya is a mess, Pakistan is a mess, Egypt is in the process, Somalia is a mess, Niger is a mess, Mali is a mess. All the common denominators are AQ and like minded groups.

So there is my apprehension about anything Islam. Kinda justified dont you think?

Iqbal was a visionary so was Sir Syed. They saw the present and the future of the Muslim diaspora. They saw gloom and doom.

But my referrals are the present 2 contending systems in Pakistan. The radical, nonsensical, downright abusive Islam and the present democrazy. The thing with people is they think that all their ills will disappear once Taliban type rule is implemented, but they do not realise we saw what SWAT went through. Murders, kidnappings, forced marriage/rapes all in the beautiful name of Islam. They present such a romantic picture of their system one wonders this may be the solutions to all ills of society. But the draconian rule is what is in store. We are getting reports of ISIL groups in Syria and their Sharia rule. Everything seems fine and dandy in the beginning but then comes the brutality, crushing of personal rights, and the horrifying treatment of minorities.

I know what you are proposing for me to read is pretty much what we need and what is right. But what we have to choose from is a brutal misled Islamic system or a morally corrupt/bankrupt democracy. I gladly will choose this democracy over the former.

Our system is pretty much Sharia of the 21st century, now its not the system to blame but the people we choose and then the people they put in place. We arent going to get out of this mess anytime soon if we are that easily blackmailed by Islam.

No one want to see bright Picture of Islam they just talk about dark side...................Islam is not the Religion of Talban only it is Religion of 98% Pakistani.....................Why we are waiting for Talban to come and impose Shryat, We as Muslim impose Shryat in Courts and bring Islamic Culture and Stop Talbanization.

Secularism is not a political system in itself.its an attitude,where religion is regarded as a private matter and hence kept away from interfering in affairs of the state.If you regard islam as mere religion,then you are right,otherwise, if Islam is a complete belief ,legal,economic,and social system then it has to be implemented in full.It cannot be "made to requirement".A tyrant called Akber tried it as "deen e elahi",but it did not work.My honest advice to people of your kind of young thinking would be,calm down and help Imran Khan,as he is working very hard to modify the system and make good example of capitalism with humane face.
