S300 to be delivered to SAA in 2 weeks

It won´t change a lot of thing, in the end Israel will gether Radar data and use it on EW. To cover most of Syria you should use 4 or 5 systems, what do you want to do with 1 system?

Rusia won't give that SAM for free, untill they are in Syria they will borrow.

No fly zone over Israel.
The deployment will be near Gulen height & Lebanon border. And coverage will full radar detection over medetrainian sea and Israel + surface to air missile range will be 250km so full cover Israel air space.

Christmas gift... Now ASSad can shot down those Su-35... When Other F-16 "use" sneaky approach...
Let's all cheer for the next downed jet... And the New next "logical" Gift...a S400...
Seems RU took Jesus Teaching to the next level... Get slapped... Give the Other Cheek+Reward...and wait for it...

Who knows at this rate... Syrian's ASSad may be the First S500 export...

I can see Su-35 on CAP. If F-16 don't leave. Then buh buh.

Why would Russia sell missiles to syria ? ? ?

Every time they threaten to sell those missiles to iran or syria they get some sort of bribe from the US. Why would they slay that goose which lays golden eggs , by actually selling the system ?

Not to mention that they risk having this system hit by Israel and thus severely damaging their air defence reputation , i doubt they would risk that.

Isn't this an arms transfer from surplus stock, not a sale. j/s

What's the likelyhood them actually delivering this time. They always get pressured and halt it.

It would be interesting to see what happens if it is delivered.

The difference would be prayers.

If 'hotheads' still prevail, here is a likely scenario. America, France, and Britain could launch a saturation cruise missile attack, ensuring all S-300 batteries around the target area are spent and then quickly follow it up with areal attack.

The reality is that there is an inherent asymmetry in air defence today. Attacking with cruise missiles is cheaper, and a cruise missile attack can be continued for longer. Whereas, air defence missiles are costlier, and once spent, cannot be replaced easily during the attack itself. Let us see if Western forces will utilize this asymmetry. The likely result of such a step would be full out war, because Russia will be looking for blood after this.
