That he is - but to make such a bold statement, he must have been instructed by his real boss.

What Pakistan can expect now are the days when the Taliban were wreaking havoc all over the place. This is where we are heading. Welcome to a CIA controlled Pakistan.

IS it just a threat from Pakistan or a change of doctrine?

Narrative building for the educated upper middle class has started, now the same needs to be done for the awaam by calling TTP Khwarji in Urdu and Pashto

Hell yeah, completely wipe Afghanistan off the face of the Earth.

Lol finally

But it's just distracting

I will believe it when I see it

Taliban govt should only be accepted if they accept Pakistan which they don't

Starting a forever war against the afghans
Pakistan doesn't need to occupy and national build Afghanistan like the Americans or Soviets.

Pakistan just needs to eliminate and capture terrorist HVTs in Afghanistan. TTA forces giving support to TTP need to be killed as well.

Perhaps, if resources permit, make a Turkish style buffer zone inside Afghanistan, and seize control of Wakhan to prevent Taliban entry into Gilgit Baltistan.

In the long run, this will pay off. Think of the thousands of Pakistani lives, and Pakistan's long term international image and national security, that is being saved.

To put it into perspective, Afghan-Indian terrorism has cost Pakistan billions more than when half the country broke off in a violent civil war which killed hundreds of thousands (which was also done by militants receiving fire support and safe heavens from neighboring India)

There is no need to spend trillions on trying to force Afghans to be civilised.

What Kakkar is saying that he will start a war with Taliban and the end result like Soviets and Americans will be to loose it.

Movie is called WAG THE DOG.
Below is the plot.

Two weeks prior to reelection, the United States president lands in the middle of a sex scandal. In need of outside help to quell the situation, presidential adviser Winifred Ames (Anne Heche) enlists the expertise of spin doctor Conrad Brean (Robert De Niro), who decides a distraction is the best course of action. Brean approaches Hollywood producer Stanley Motss (Dustin Hoffman) to help him fabricate a war in Albania -- and once underway, the duo has the media entirely focused on the war.

Looks like Generals hired same spin Master

I know many Indians have a bit of an inferiority complex when it comes to Afghans, so this might shock you:

Pakistan has fought and war multiple wars with Afghanistan - the first in the 60s, where Afghans surrendered, and the second, a proxy war, fought against both Afghanistan and the Soviets, from the 70s till the end of the Cold War, during which the Afghan government collapsed and a relatively friendly regime installed.

Pakistan has more Pashtuns than the rest of the world combined, including Afghanistan.

Pakistan understands the dynamics of tribal Afghanistan better than anyone - which is partly why Pakistan advised against the nation building stunt of the Americans.

Pakistan will not start the war with the objective of spending decades and trillions on nation building and installing a friendly government. That is what the Americans tried.

Instead, the objective will be to degrade and destroy terrorist infrastructure, and capture or kill terrorist commanders and their Indian handlers in Afghanistan (such as Jadhav, who India alleges was captured in Iranian soil).
