TTP's matter for Pakistan to resolve, not Afghanistan: Taliban spokesperson

Says Taliban's stance is to not allow use of Afghan soil to destroy peace of another country

KARACHI:
Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid has said that the issue of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is not for Afghanistan to resolve but must be solved by the Pakistani government.
The spokesperson’s comments came during an interview with a private news channel when he was questioned if Taliban leaders would ask the TTP to not engage in conflict with Pakistan.
It is dependent upon Pakistan, and Pakistani ulema, not the Taliban, to decide whether or not the TTP’s war is legitimate and to formulate a strategy in response,” Mujahid stated.
He emphasised that the future Afghan government, made under the Taliban, would have a rightful say regarding the matter.
“However, our stance is that the Afghan soil will not be used by anyone to destroy the peace of another country,” he maintained, adding that if the TTP considered the Taliban their leaders they would follow their orders.
New government
According to the spokesperson, full-fledged efforts are being made to create a government in Afghanistan. However, he added that there have been minor setbacks.
"Entering Kabul suddenly and taking over the government was unanticipated. We want to hold wide-ranging talks regarding the formation of a government, so that a strong government can be created," he said.
Mujahid reiterated that the Taliban wanted to put an end to the war and create a system with everyone’s input and representation of the people’s wishes.
The spokesperson hoped the Taliban would make an announcement regarding the formation of a new government in a few days.

He further claimed that advice from talks with former Afghan president Hamid Karzai and former chief executive officer, Dr Abdullah Abdullah, besides former vice presidents, Yunus Qanuni and Abdul Rashid Dostum, is being considered.
"We are consulting all leaders present in Kabul. We are in touch with them, and their recommendations are important to us," he added.
Mujahid stated that the Taliban will avoid the inclusion of those who were at the centre of the conflict in the past, and instead opt for individuals who have peoples' support.
He reiterated that leaders of the past will not be sidelined and will be consulted routinely.
Panjshir valley
Commenting on the control of the Panjshir valley, where an anti-Taliban resistance under Ahmed Massoud of the National Resistance Front has escalated, Mujahid claimed that the militant group is "60% confident that the issue can be resolved through talks".
The spokesperson said the Taliban want to bring Panjshir under their control and hoped it would not come down to a war.
"This way the honour of the people there will remain intact, and we will treat them with respect," he added.
Mujahid maintained that the leaders in Panjshir had indicated they do not want war in talks with the Taliban.
According to the spokesperson, if a war did breakout the Taliban’s victory would be swift because they have the valley “surrounded” and are present in Badakhshan, Paghman and Takharo Parwan.

As long as they are not sheltered or hosted that's fine. Pin them against the border regions and kill each and every last one of them.
The border needs to be strengthened even more now.

I hope our army and govt has the stomach for cross border raids. Its the need of the hour. Now and never. We need to burn these mfs down.
what do you want him to do? declare war on talitubbies who are installed by the onliest global power and backed by a regionally powerful deceiver?

are you a patwari or something?
anyone who has a lick of sense knows that they are one and the same
Apparently no one except you in Pakistan has sense if we go by your proclamation because if you were not under a cave, many in Pakistan are celebrating their takeover because they felt it will lead to extinction of TTP.
His statement can also be seen in the light that they don't care for the TTP either. There's no hint of 'peace talks'.
They've washed their hands of the situation.
Why dont they care? Shouldnt they say that we will cooperate with Pakistan in eliminating any threats that they face? What is the point of so called strategic depth?

Taking IEA words out of context never works around this blocks and I have seen your posts have been utterly bitter since IEA came to power.. Stop the mischievous nature my dear sister.

The full message IEA gave in regards to TTP is entirely different and you know that yourself since you are taking things out of context now

He is right we have to fight our own battles , they just need to keep their word of not supporting TTP and letting them organize on Afghan soil .Rest the the forces and agencies will do the work
