Pakistanis getting to know our Indian Muslim members

I wonder if the name Sulaimani chai has any relation to the Sulaimani region of KPK.

@jamahir Does it originate from Kerala and Malabar coast?

Actually I never heard of it, so I am interested now.

it's generally a small side katori, not meant to drown the whole rice dish in.

it goes along with the raita side.

There's a similar dish but made little soupy or made with keema, in which case it is dry.

I think you are referring to the version below, have not tried as yet but now it is on my list.

From what I understand it has Arabic heritage, but there seem to be various stories, in Pakistan, it is drunk in the western region, I only became aware of it from a Pakistani YouTube channel, I'll link below, awesome videos.

It is simply black tea with a tablespoon of lemon juice or a thick slice first squeezed then added to the tea, obviously adjust to taste. I have it without sugar myself.

So after having been on this forum for a while, I have noticed that many Indian Muslims share commonalities with Pakistanis in their views about the Indian state (Congress/RSS) and generally about the world at large.

I wanted to create a light-hearted thread where Pakistanis and Indian Muslims can discuss and learn from each other in an environment free of the usual trolling.

So to get it started, i wanted to ask our Indian Muslim members some simple questions.

Why did you join PDF?

What did/do you hope to learn from Pakistanis?

How has your experience been on this forum?

Was there anything interesting you learned from PDF?

They dont.
They are indian.
They hate you more then hindus.
The religious ones think we made them minority thus they hate us.
There is a jealousy element. No matter how pathetic, poor we are. But we are not ruled by hindus.
Thousands of years the fake seculariam and its messgae has made them deny the fact, but it has no been laid bare. And so now they are proven wrong so they are more angry.
(it is more difficult for people to accept the truth when proven wrong.)
There is a complex where they have to please a higher class hindu who consider them terrorist, outsider and what not. Rather then blaming the baniya they blame us.
They still oppose the idea of Pakistan.
Inshort they hate us.
So are the pakistani hindus are Pakistani and nothing to do with india.
IF GIVEN CHOICE OF GIVING A JOB TO AN INDIAN MUSLIM OR A PAKISTANI HINDU, I WOULD PREFFER PAKISTAN HINDU ON THE MERE BASIS OF BEING A PAKISTAN. THATS ENOUGH FOR ME

Kashmiri Koftay and Alu Gosht (with perfect shorba)!!!!!!!!

Uff... itna zulm. Aesey to dushman ke saat bhi na karo.

I have some relatives from Azad Kashmir that married into the family. They are some royals of Kashmir from the past, don't want to say exactly.

They are very big on these kinds of Kashmiri things. Such as feran, the hats, kashmiri chai, music, and traditional several dishes which Kashmiris cook. I remember Rogan Josh was one of them.

Top dish - we just had some bengan aloo tonight - another favourite

I have a hard time with bengan (it's cooked a few times per month) and kaddu, since childhood. Bhindi is yummm .. had saag today, there was good fresh stuff available at shop this time so picked enough for a large batch cook and froze many portions - kids love it too.

I've finally brought the family towards beef ... I love Beef ... mutton and lamb just don't cut it.

I tried Borani Banjan at Pukhtoon family friend's home. It is like a nonspicy Bangan dish which is originally Afghan. It was so good.

I realized after a long time of hating vegetable dishes in youth that the reason was the spices.

I prefer vegetable dishes to be as nonstick as possible. Even masoor daal and kalli daal.

My favorite vegetable dishes are chole/chaney, aloo gobbi, bhindi.

Are you Kashmiri bro or Punjabi, because we cook this exact same dish in Faisalabad? Although I hate kareley, but I can respect the dish.

Kashmiri by origin but born and raised in Faisalabad (till 13)!! Grandparents migrated from Srinagar and settled near Gujrat (Lala Moosa, Haji Chak), both parents born there.

Are you from Faisalabad???
