Your take please. After Pak-India standoff and all quick response. We have only seen single engine agility. Where due to heavy satellite regional scanning. Anything slow moving or dual engine capability planes are not found. And we know who is providing Pakistan armed forces real time aerial satellite scanning.
Plus, preparedness to flying time is much less for single engine, then SU30 or Mig29.
Where Pakistan single engine aircraft proved both roles from interceptor to bomber.

its not like this its mean lighter fighters are better for air combat . but then again eu fighter and rafale are also light fighters even with double engines .paf is not in mode of deep strike missions now they can do it with standoff weapons then why they need heavy fighters ?

well the thing does have a higher load capacity than mig 29 or mig 21
It's not age of indiscriminate bombing like B57. In this part of world , only need precision strike bomber. Where load is less important then quality of precision strike and destroy enemy asset in certain circumference . Isreali load the F16 with those type of weapon, which can only destroy the targeted asset. Plus, these SU30 or Mig29 they can't fly with wings. There operational preparedness need time and longer time of strategy.

There is no doubt that PAF is focused on high availability. It is also no secret that a single engine aircraft has lesser maintenance and has therefore a higher availability ratio as opposed to the twin engine counterpart.

Still, nothing can replace the training of pilots. It is the pilot that makes crucial decisions when flying the fighter. When you put a donkey in a Ferrari it won’t make it necessarily go any faster.

we must have double engiens, if we want to be respected in military world

For deep strike , Pakistan had adopted land hugging cruise missile . Fast and inexpensive deep strike weapons.

Agreed, but with Navy in mind I think dual engine fighter is needed. Especially to protect CPEC/Gwadar assets. Be it in smaller numbers as force multipliers.

A fighter like J-10C however could also fulfill the role very nicely.

pakistan first need numbers before it can think of expenisve jets..we barely are meeting our numbers ..
the fact that india has chnaged the ground rules and put limited air war in the equation means that we would need high end jets when rafale comes in, be it f16b70 with aim 120d, j10c or j-31..something is needed in addition to jf-17

Absolutely... f-16s if hook or by crook at least 2-3 2nd hand squads or J-10cs
