thats true in a couple of years there will only be 2 types of fighters;

-Fifth gen fighters and their targets

but again J-XX>F-35

I have a suggestion:

This is a good choice, well balanced

Its the INCOM T-65 X-Wing. Next gen Multirole fighter with hyperspace capability. Perfect for when we want to annex Mars and call it Marisistan.

However the F-16 is already filling our multirole prospects, what we lack is the long range strike capacity in good numbers.
An option is to go for the Koensayr Y-Wing

Sienar systems also has the TIE series of fighters

These may even come with ToT.

These are good options for a next gen fighter.

Why not just go for a 10th gen, one step ahead of the opposition

Be hold the Starship Enterprise!
Comes with full ToT and no strings attached

Suck on that PAK FA and F-22!

This is such damn silly thread get rid of the f-16's what youwe gona fly then kites? i wasn't going to comment here but i couldn't hold my self back.. man first lets try to get the new batch's of block 52's which we orderd lets try getting the old vipers through mlu lets try to work faster on our thunder's and try to get fc-20's faster. While some of you are taking about going for f-35's specially the thread starter what is this first grade class in school grow up people think logical uff GOD help us.

1. Those are eight countires who have funds to afford the aircraft does Pakistan specially at this time ?.

2. They are cleared to buy we are not US won't simply allow us to even get close to the aircraft.

3. Us only supplies us (sells us )with limited goods not always the most high tech of toys.

There are several more reasons i can get in to but these are the basics for you to understand hope it clears your mind.

Defence equipment is purchased based on threat perception, countries that are purchasing upgraded F16's feel that these machines are capable enough of doing the job required off them. Their is simply no country in this world that can match the conventional military might of US, USSR certainly could but they are here no more

Let me tell you one thing no country in the world says to itself after acquiring some weapons " geez that's enough !!!! "

And say frankly if US offer's you F-35 and F-16, would you say " we don't want F-35 'cause F16 is enough for us !!!!".

Grow up dude.

And my point in supporting his view earlier was F16 was considered as 4th gen machine, you have other options like jf17 which I think is 4+ gen or even the upcoming J-xx.
