I have read the history they have nothing to do with Republic of India or modern Pakistan except it is a shared history in that both parts were largely conquered by them.

Secularism has wonders for Sikhs in India, eh?

pakistanis have forged so much of their history even the wisest of the wise would find a reason to change the name !

.
republic of corruptionistan

. .
Which the world refers to as Mughal India.

LOL the world is not Delhi. When they teach about Mughal empire elsewhere they say they conquered areas that later became Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh.

.
This rule book applies to Pakistan only, not to india.

:D

Anyways, your film industry is dominated by Muslims...Muslims are present everywhere..from social sector to government to businesses...Moreover, indian Muslims are behemoth 175 million+ !!!! More than 10% of your population..by 2030, Muslim population of india is all set to reach 16% Inshallah...So you don't have much choice...

Just give more opportunities and education to Muslim masses, and stop discriminating against them..Everything will be fine for india then...

We DO that. Thats the difference between India and Pakistan. And we NEVER make sweeping statements like "Indian muslims can go and smoke bong"

Or maybe the first few posts were what he actually thinks and the last one was out of pity for the insignificant minorities, but he is mostly hawkish for sure, don't make an angel out of him; :-)

Let me atleast try :-)

Pakistani people are just 'Emotional thugs of religion'.

There is no Islam left as for as Jinnah's Pakistan so it will be good to declare 'Republic of Pakistan' where Religion should have no business with state affairs.

or try to correct yourself following Islam but not Sunni, Shiaa, Deobandi, Ahle-hadees etc and follow the rout of Jinnah in actual meanings.

1947, was an year of utter confusion all over. Everyone was puzzled and misunderstanding, perplexity dominated sanity and rational minds. In the midst of this anarchy we got our countries. But unfortunately,Pakistan had a complete different set of puzzles to solve. While India did not had to struggle much to consolidate it's inherent fabric and continued as it was doing since it's lost antiquity, our neighbor had to start from the scratch. The struggle between ideologies haunted them sixty seven years ago, which does not show any sign to settle down till today. This ideological strife, Nehru and Patel did not have to face and we can thank God for that.

The Chaos Theory explains it : "Chaotic systems are sensitive to initial conditions. Even a very slight change in the starting point can lead to significant different outcomes."

Pakistan should embrace secularism and refrain from passing any bills that are Islamic or implement islamic laws on the whole nation. This is the way forward.

Why do you want it dude..??? We are an Islamic nation and we have our own laws ... You are nobody to dictate us :disagree:

Almost all major groups and organizations in Pakistan agree to its name as the "Islamic Republic of Pakistan". Pakistanis love Islam, their culture, their country, their civilization, and their history. The vast majority of them, one way or another have an understanding of Islam, either shallow or deep. It's not that the country is ruled by Mullahs. The country is ruled by corrupt politicians, but the populace is aware of the blood sacrifices

Despite being on PDF, most of these non-Muslim Indians do not know about Pakistan, or Islam, or Muslims, despite the fact that they have 300 million Muslims within their own country. This is because they come with closed minds and hearts. They did not come here to learn, but came to stomp, insult, and attack. Yet, we as Muslims, and Pakistanis ought to show hospitality to these people. These are my observations. But I hope, these indians change their hearts, and understand that we Pakistanis are not really their enemy. Every one has the right to defend themselves, and fight for their beliefs and way of life.

What this survey does not clarify is that each Pakistani wants his own version of Sharia, which of course, is completely different from any other version.

yes, you are trying to understand, but have not got there yet.

Shari'a Law, is like the Jewish Halakha Law. Jews want to live by Halakha, and they understand. Just as Hindus would like to live by the Vedas, and Puranas, and Bhagwad Geeta. Or the Sikhs by the Guru Granth.

In Islam, there are different kinds of Shari'a Law that exist.

What is Shari'a?

Shari'a is an Arabic Word. If you are driving in Dubai, you will see green signs in Arabic showing the way. Those Arabic words begin as, for example, "Shaar' Salman" [ translation Highway or Road Salman ]. Shaari' [ the transliteration of the Arabic word ] means Road, Pathway, or Highway. Shari'a is a diminitude of it means a general path. But path to what? Path to salvation in this temporary world and the eternal hereafter. Shari'a law is composed of laws for daily living that are derived from 3 sources: The Qur'an al Kareem, The Hadith or Gospels of the Last Messenger salAllaho alaihi wa sallam, and analogies made by qualified scholars.

In Jewish Halakha law, it is quite similar.

In Pakistan, the vast majority of Muslims are Hanafi Sunnis. They follow the jurisprudence called the Hanafi School of Law. Another name for this body of law [ a general word ] is Shari'ah of the Hanafis. Other Muslim groups have their own Schools of Laws, or Shari'ahs.

Because Pakistan was not a republic until 1956. Until then we were under the british crown. The name Islamic republic of Pakistan was chosen in the constitution of 1956 when Pakistan became a republic.

The Bottom line is, that Pakistanis will decide what our country would become. Majority of Pakistanis desire a functional Muslim state. We may become communists, secularists or a Sharia state, its no one's business. This is our country and we will decide its future.

Lastly, since Muslims are the majority, our laws and way of life will prevail. Millions of our ancestors paid with their blood, wealth and honor so we could have a choice they didn't have. If 3% minorities have a problem with our country's name, it means that they have a problem with Muslims, our way of life aspirations and Islam.

If they have a problem with the majority and their aspirations, the majority can tell them go and smoke bong! - just because we 'can'. The Christians and Hindus didn't have any significant role in our freedom movement, they paid no price for our freedom. They got it as a result of the blood sacrifice of our forefathers....and whoever has the power to give also reserves the right to 'take it back'.

The whole point of a democracy is to also protect the minority. Majority rule is bad and that is why a democracy is supposed to be secular. A secular society is always better than a religious theocracy...history has shown that.

Secularism is a farce, a hypocritical way for the majority to get away with everything they want to get away with. What matters is the will of the people and that is exactly what we will see done. Minority rights are guaranteed in Pakistan's constitution, though we won't let anyone tell us what we should call ourselves.
