Pakistan’s China Syndrome

. .
Not much of a problem really. We have an army that needs to be doing something, otherwise they might die of boredom.

Likewise, us Jatts need to keep our swords wet with our enemies blood. :sniper:

The problem is with the increase in the number of your enemies. Might run out of swords soon. Don't want a repeat of scene from Indian(a) Jones in the Raiders of the Lost Ark, do we? Swords might be do better being sheathed.

That's what master sword makers are for, we have one in the family that is nearly 300 years old, our enemies are not increasing, we only have one.

Or they might commit suicide or start killing senior officers like they have done in the past.;)

Continuing with the present status quo is indeed better. :)

Open your eyes, there are many, in fact the better count friends than enemies because of the obsession for 'only one'

So you an indian, are going to decide how many enemies we have, as far as I am concerned we have only ONE eternal enemy, the others sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Sometimes, you understand things better when you think outside the box.

China Must annex Pakistan now it's the only solution Pakistani's would live better under china plus china could deradicalized the Pakistani society.

I second that..!!
the prophet said Seek knowledge even as far as China, Pakistan must stay true to the words of the prophet China can deradicalize the Pak society, not to mention pakistani's would live better. China should Annex Pakistan and rename it south xijiang.

as for the whole "alpha thing" well Pakistan isn't looking to pick a fight needlessly, it's just looking out after its strategic interests.

How is supporting a terrorist entity like the Haqqanis and protecting them outweigh the cost of losing a "friend" (lets just say souring the relationship) which also happens to be the only hyperpower in the world? Obviously I understand that the whole argument about Pakistan supporting Haqqanis itself could be the point you raise as questionable...But at the moment, the USA seems sure of it and Pakistan doesnt seem to be denying or trying to prove that these accusations are unfounded either...

Is Strategic interests in Afghanistan outstripping India the only reason?
Hasnt Pakistan suffered more at the hands of terrorists than any other country? I dont think the 60 Year fued with India cost 68 Billion in losses and 30K of your ordinary people to die....
In light of this, is it really strategic interest of Pak to not go against the Haqqanis?

No crime in that, though obviously if we differ in approach and strategy then the other side would be discontent over it. However, blind blame-game statements --while irritating --have no affect on our sovereigntyIt's really a war of words and some psychological pressure being exerted, but Pakistan is used to it so it's kind of become a boy who cries wolf thing. We even have grievences which they dont take into account, so it works both ways.

The effects are covert....
Take the example of Iran and NK which through consistent propoganda and negative press have become politically isolated...even to the point that Muslim countries in the case of Iran and China in the case of NK risk losing their key allies...

but as i said earlier, countries generally look after their own interests first. In fact, Pakistan has MORE to do to enact such a policy. For example, we should be placing much higher tax/tariff on the supply trucks that go to Afghanistan via Pakistan. It's unfortunate that we haven't done that already. That is an example of us looking after our own interest. Pakistan and Afghanistan government seem to have some understanding on a good 'exit strategy' -- because 'exit' from Afghanistan is more or less inevitable at some point --as was the case with soviets
.

I concur with Bang Galore's views on this
