Pakistan’s China Syndrome

”Pak-China friendship is higher than mountains, deeper than oceans, stronger than steel and sweeter than honey.”

“your friends are our friends, your enemies are our enemies and your security is our security.”

 history repeats itself! Ayub and Zia had something similar feeling about USA. Ayub said, "we are 'the most allied ally' of the United States"! :)

What Ayub, what statement. Pakistan history eras were from 789 to 1660 and then for a couple of years in 1939 & 1941 and then a few days in 1947 and then it starts from 1972. Also 1999 also had 40 less days. You need to brush up on your history and general knowledge before claiming such heresy here!!

"syndrome" ??? :coffee:

the countries are trading partners, allies, and NEIGHBOURS.....i dont know what part of that which you indian idiots can't comprehend

.
Differences between USA and China regarding Pakistan.

1) China is a neighbor US is not.
2) Civilizational interaction 5,000 years
3) Constant upwards momentum in relations.
4) No significant falling outs.
5) Relationship that is mutually beneficial.

Agreed....
They're all of the above but will NOT be your saviors......which is what most Pakistani members on this forum make Pak-China relationship out to be...

To put it bluntly....China will not be the condom that protects you from being violated by USA

.
we dont need "protection" from USA

USA didnt wear condom in Afghanistan or Iraq and that has helped fuel the real domestic infection (out of control spending, fiscal problems, etc.) so i don't think they would want to repeat that mistake in Pakistan and face more problems than ever before

sexual frustration

BBC NEWS | South Asia | Condoms 'too big' for Indian men

China just wants money, money from exports, money from selling military stuff to Pakistan.

They just care about their own interests.

doesnt every country do that? In this case, the countries are more than business partners, there is a strategic alliance and we just happen to be neighbours that see eye-to-eye on many issues.

such has been the case since 1960s, it's no new phenomenon.

USA choosing to wear "protection" is at their own risk...considering they're the alpha's in the current relationship with Pak....But can Pakistan afford to become another Afghanistan or Iraq?

I have been meaning to post this for a while now, might get a lot of flak from my pakistani friends but i find it strange when a chinese says to pakistanis we are your brothers, the conflicting part is as a race you do not speak the same language, u do not have the same food habits the clothes, the culture, the arts the looks but u share all this with Indians also we as two nations are facing similar social problems, the same bureaucratic crap, corruption, health and education problems, heck even our natural disasters are similar, floods and earthquakes. We are like two estranged brothers who are fighting and bickering incessantly. Is there no chance in this world that we can come together. Just a hope. I know i will be told that we never will get friendly with Indians and we hate Indians. I personally joined PDF to atleast give our friendship a try in some small way.
From where I see it, we are being separated by outsiders who are generally throwing fuel into the fire for their own benefit. As i have said earlier i would love to see a growing pakistan who is trading with India and vice versa where we both benefit economically and culturally.

Great post mate, I have been emphasising the same for quite some time now, I pray that you are heared by some of the Pakistani brothers as I had my views accepted by sane members like Aryan_B and superkaif, etc.

LOL...Preaching to the choir wrt. Chinese

And lets not start with your "napolean complex" AZ....;)

Pakistan and China are friends and strategic partners, but we do not expect China to fight our battles, just support us, as they are already doing. What's the big fuss, and why do indians whip themselves into a frenzy when ever Pak China friendship is mentioned.
