You know we have Christians here in south India whose name are like Cherian Pandyara, Dinakaran. They have just Changed their religions. Some are their who changed it to like Victor, Francis etc. But their dress code is subcontinental. But our muslim brothers, they changed their religion, dress code and culture to Arabic hundreds of years a go and they dont even know it. And they say we were slaves and they were the rulers. I am yet to find a muslim(not recent converts) with Indian Origin name.

May be we can also blame the Kangrez who have mixed English words in Urdu. They neither can speak pure Urdu nor pure English. They use English words when speaking Urdu while Urdu words when speaking English. people targeting specifically Maulvis are actually have ulterior motives.

Latin and Greek words are used in most European languages with different accents. Even the name Robert is pronounced differently in English and French. We should preferably use Arabic and Persian words instead of English in Urdu language.

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday approved a summary prohibiting the English translation of Islamic terms, which means that the word “masjid” cannot be substituted with the English word “mosque”.

Sacred Arabic names and words like Allah, masjid, sala’at and Rasool are now forbidden to be translated in English as God, mosque, prayer and prophet, respectively, as per the summary approved by the Prime Minister. Religious scholars have appreciated the government’s move and stressed the need to implement the decision.

Prominent cleric Mufti Naeem said that the decision is commendable but it should be enforced in letter and spirit. He lauded the Prime Minister for taking the decision in the holy month of Ramzan.

Mufti Muneebur Rehman also lauded the move, saying some religious terms and names are best described in Arabic and they couldn’t be translated in English.

Why are you making such a fuss about it? while I find this 'law' funny, it is indeed true that some words cannot be translated.

Try translating 'Ghairat' for example in English, or 'Naswar' for that matter.

Sameer is a male given name with two origins, in Arabic and Sanskrit. The Arabic Samir means : jovial, entertaining or pleasant companion, while the Hindi Sameer and Sankrit Sameer mean: air

So the ones with name sameer and muslim is arabic, not Sub-continental.

In my opinion this is good becoz we must respect our culture our religion bring it in its true state we can read and write in urdu arabic why use english words which is not our readings

Example is in entire EU they give more reliance to geman french polish etc than english almost 85 percent of people cant talk english
